Hello my friend, looking back at the video it might look like it turns on when you open it, but it does not, you need to press a button on the right side of the unit. What do you think of this so far and do you have any particular needs for it, I can help.
@@ThisBytesForYou Thanks for the reply buddy. I purchased this computer about 2 weeks ago. I noticed sometimes when I flip it open, it starts up and other times I have to press the power button on the side of it to start it up. I was wondering if my computer was mulfunctioning. Do you have to press the power button on the side every time to start yours up? Also what do you think of the sound quality. I notice sometimes I have to turn fans off to be able to hear the computer on full volume.
@@justinboyle3018 you know, maybe its when it goes to sleep that it turns back on when you flip it open and when its shut down you have to hit the power button. Sadly I dont have it with me anymore, I had to send it back, big bummer since one rep said I could keep it and the other said I could not, I dont want to upset Dell, so I sent them back. There is a setting, I can't remember where it is, but some where in the settings that you can update the Chrome image and BIOS, you may want to give that a try, it is a bit hidden. You mention fans... this model that I have did not have fans, it did not even have vents for fans. Which model do you have, and the sound quality was pretty nice. Well, this is an older video, so it would work but it would be slower than something you can buy today, this one off of my Amazon affiliate link, under $100 might be good for you: geni.us/uOrI6S
@@EricHuglen thank you my friend, I am working on it but I have had a huge influx of product to review, too much on my plate right now, but I am trying hard. Thank you so much for your kind words, I do appreciate it. To help, what kind of tasks are you planning on this taking care of for you?
They are different, one is a 2 in 1 and the other is the regular chromebook. I would recommend the 2 in 1 over the regular chromebook, android to me seems very odd without a touchscreen, though of course it does work perfectly fine.
@@ThisBytesForYou we got the 2 in 1 but finding the keyboard does not disable when in tablet mode unless it is sitting completely flat which is frustrating. Something you didn't really show in this was the rotating screen. I find it is slugish in auto rotating.
@@debbiep99 yes, it is not the fastest for rotating but its not horrible. Have you tried pressing the lock button? It's at the top right hand corner, the screen shrinks a bit then pops back up telling you it's locked.
no my friend, for windows this would be a HORRIBLE PC, but being that android is not as hardware hungry as windows is, its perfect for android. I hope this helps.
What would have been cool is if the computer had a thin attachable and detachable flat piece at the base of the computer that can double as a cover for the keyboard so you dont have to lay your computer on the keys. Although there is a lock button on the keyboard it would have been a creative addition. Edit: also the flat piece could be a customisable cover.

These are absolute garbage, extremely slow, os is horrible, too many bugs, and things crash. My school gives us these and I just use my 8-year-old desktop pc that still runs smoothly. I have not seen a need to upgrade my desktop yet, runs great, does 4k editing perfectly in premiere pro with medium proxies, and runs games
