hey brother...do you boil your dirty knives to get the gunk loose and out of the crevices? My God father was a jewler and he would steam out rings and necklaces to clean them, why would it not work on knives?

The 33 pattern Case is popular as a three blade in recent decades but I think in the older days a two blade version was more common.

The SS on the case stands for their TM surgical steel. It’s just their special name for stainless steel.
I have that same Case knife, it’s the ‘79 model year though. Found it in a vintage shop in Louisiana

You can always engrave another pattern over the lighter, it will cover the original name aspect, usually a very fine diamond pattern does the trick
