Death is probably the strongest and scariest villain in Dreamworks
@@alargeredlizard3003he’s literally death itself
@@alargeredlizard3003 no he is death the concept of death. if he really wanted to he would of just killed puss, but he didnt want to. he gave puss multiple times to pick up his weapon for a fair fight. and once he found out that puss actually changed and cared for his life and the ones around him, he stopped fighting him. because he just wanted puss to change and if he didnt he would of killed him
@@alargeredlizard3003 no, Death had it in the bag. He was basically nerfing himself when he realised Puss wasn’t an arrogant asshole anymore (he basically said that during the last moments of the final fight), the only reason why he wanted him dead was because of his arrogant, ignorant, self righteousness. That’s the whole point. Death as a character IS DEATH, literally said by him. So he could’ve killed Puss, but decided to spare him. Not dead or defeated, just sparing Puss until he is ready to go. Basically he’s the grim reaper
@@alargeredlizard3003 Death was clearly purposely holding himself back so he could have fun messing with Puss’s head. Puss literally says “I can never defeat you” because he’s literally death. You can’t kill death. Also it’s even more clear that he’s messing with him because at the end of their last fight he says “Why the hell do I play with my food” in Spanish. He’s frustrated that he gave Puss enough time to change and grow as a person so now killing him wont be nearly as enjoyable.
mans is literally the embodiment of death. there's no question that he's the strongest and scariest villain
Another fun fact, in the opening scene the bell sounds 8 times to signify puss dying 8 times so far
😮
i actually love this movie omfg
@@ivywtand when death visits him in the bar puss has already drank 8 bottles of leche and he was on his ninth one, and Deaths whistle is 8 beats long but has 9 notes to signify the eight out of nine lives of puss
Great catch
@@MindSag oh my god thats great detail😮😳
That's more than just a good easter egg. It's actual damn good writing in a modern animated movie for once.
yes i love such details
Bro Death's whistle is even scarier than Sephiroth's Boss Theme
Edit: HOLY SHIT THANKS FOR 1.7k LIKES EVERYONE
ikr💀
Personally I find it calming, does that make me crazy?😂
@@jasonskywalker1404 probably but as billy lumis said in scream "we all go a little mad sometimes"
@@jasonskywalker1404i suppose for people who accept that death is a natural part of life, its not really scary. Its almost sad or calming actually
How do he get that reverb on it tho?
I found it funny after hearing it once. Bro can’t switch it up fr
Disney needs to start taking notes
Nah, down with Disney, long live Dreamworks
Fr
@Walker(X); I agree with you out with old and in with the new .
@@walkerx1813 yeah, i might go back to disney if they stop putting gays in their movies and shows
I would say they brought a great scary Villain: Emperor Belos from „the owl house“. To Bad Disney Canceled it early like they always do with good shows🥲
Bro that’s some insane level detailing… Definitely bumps up the wolf to an even greater heighth!
Yes it does!
There’s some tumblr posts saying that if u look closely to the card designs counting down Puss’s deaths, you can see Wolf in the border art with his scythes and hood, but u can barely see it the first time unless you look closely…
That is some “devil in details” sh%# right there.
@@chillychivy435he Is in the mirror at the doctors office too
@@chillychivy435 that’s not just the only scene where you see death stalking puss there’s literally other scenes where if you look at the background closely you can see him
@@Sleepy1107 where I have to know this
By far the scariest villain DreamWorks has ever created
I would argue he's technically not a villain
Either him or Tai Lung
@@slartybartfastnah he kinda is, he wasn’t just “doing his job” he wanted puss dead. Like he just wanted him to die
@slartybartfast he kinda is a villain
Death is a closer character on being evil if you asked me He would have been the Darth Vader/ The Joker of DreamWorks Villains.
Dude, every single scene has SO MUCH detail put into it! This definitely the best animated film of the 2020s!
Close, I’ll still take spider man into the spider verse
we could get something better we got like 6 years left of 2020s
Another really cool detail is when we see all of Pusses deaths. The cards that they flash after he dies has Death in them as well. He is in the four corners so he truly was there for all of them.
Ikr
jusy noticed that wow your attentive
Nani?
Ayooooo
Holy shit you’re right!
You can also see Death, right before Puss died for the 8th time. There are two red eyes watching him from the background when he's about to sing before being crushed by the bell.
Aren’t those just flowers?
I can’t find what red eyes your meaning ??
and you can hear the whistling faintly in the background, when the crowd is shouting
@@jummyran I wish I could show you the screenshot in the YT replies, but it's there. Two red eyes and a vague outline - right before Puss is crushed by the bell. You can see him peeking from behind the giant's body.
@@Arko777777 I found it lastnight. It may be just flowers like the one guy said but I can see what you mean since the wolf had red eyes 👀
The last wish is definitely one of the scariest dreamworks film ever made. Knowing that death came verrrry close to killing puss makes it a very edge of your seat film
Forget how death looks, his howl made me look behind me every 10 seconds at night 💀
Same lol
Oh what the hell that's f****** creepy
That's what I'm saying I had to replay it to make sure I wasn't seeing things
Actually isn’t not death stated he was there for every single of puss in boots deaths and he was watching him and he died in that fight
I Was Like Eddievr Going "OH FUCK NO BRO"
@@chillychivy435He is in the mirror at the doctors office too
@@Omgwallyhk Well he’s called Death so yeah I would assume he’s always been there every time Puss in Boots died
creepy that his head moves as the camera moves to the right
Well that’s just the direction puss is moving in
I know this is irrelevant but where is this music from I’ve heard it from somewhere before
@@DigitalDisco from the incredibles 😎
I think he's just following Puss, that shot was a POV of him running along the roof
LITERALLY THE WHOLE CROWD
He’s also in the corners of the “counting puss’ lives” scene. His blades are the designs on the corners
I didn't even notice that.
I mean, I'd heard that Death was getting closer and closer each time, but I was looking for the actual character.
I didn't even consider the shape of his blades. I'll have to keep that in mind next time I see it.
“You never knew it Puss… but I was always there.”
That's terrifying...even the audience didn't notice death during the action.
Nobody really notices Death until it's their final day. 😉
I believe that's what they were going for. For no one to notice until it's too late, it fits so well that it's genuinely horrifying
Everyone was too busy taking in the RULES OF NATURE
fr, I'm disturbed with his apperreance + this scene
@@primenumberbuster404 that is a hard fact
My favorite thing about this is the fact that the movie could have easily done the movie trope of going through this scene again and showing you death but it doesn't. They wanted you to find death yourself.
shiver me timbers, imagine death following YOU 😭
I wouldn't be scared death is inevitable you can't stop it so why be scared of Death's walking embodiment? I would honestly be very chill around him
@@LoganArden I SMELL CAP!

@@lowly309 True 👍 have a nice day
@@MaximumPrime na you probably hate him as much as I hate boba fett
That's why he said "been following you for a longggggg time"💀
Death usually came on screen after the death of someone. And if people saw Death it means their time is about to be up.
1st appearance: someone must've died recently, probably the bar tender Puss was drinking milk in.
2nd appearance: about 10 minutes after the jack horner buyer got Midas Touched, he walked through tne crowd to show himself to Puss, most likely got done dealing with the body.
3rd appearance: During the 3 way battle over the map, and some of Baker's Dozen were shot and confetti'd by Jack, Death shows up standing there looking at Puss signifying the huge danger if he kept fighting Jack with his confetti bow.
4th appearance: it was him making his presence known that death is near and it shouldnt be laughed at since Puss put himself in that position.
5th appearance: Its not just Puss that sees "death" its everybody. Its just Puss the Death cared about first. He showed up after the last Baker Dozen was killed by the Star Wall because of Jack.
Omg that is really crazy I did not know that..
Interesting!
I don't think Death is a villain. He's just doing his job.
Edit: MOM! IM FAMOUS!
Yes, but he was kind of cheating since puss had his last life left but he didn't wanted to wait for that long
@@maninder44 he didnt want to wait too long because puss was arrogant and didnt value any of his lives. That was why he wanted to hunt him. in the final scene he kind of didn't like how he changed and learned his lesson, so he spared him, hasta la muerte
Edit: dam thats alot
@@maninder44 puss alr died 8 times who really is cheating here?
@@eulala267 also the fact that puss mock death which made him detest puss more.
He's an antagonist
THATS FREAKING TERRIFYING
Look how tall he is compared to everyone else, that's nightmare fuel
I just finished watching this movie and it was great! One thing that I thought was missing was shwoing the audience actual scenes of him appearing near Puss in his "death" scenes, especially when he mentioned he was their on all Puss' 8 deaths. Turns out he was actually there!! CRAZY detail
Wagner moura as death is actually terrifying
Small details like these makes you enjoy the movie even more
They definitely took inspiration from the “always there” scene in the first movie where Humpty Dumpty was watching him secretly the whole movie
Death really gives goosebumps every time he enters🍃
Holy shittttt! 😮 what a fantastic, well-thought out movie
I know this has nothing to do with the movie but I recognize that music where is that music from
@@DigitalDiscoit’s from that scene in Incredibles where Mr Incredible discovers all the super hero’s who have died!
@@GirthConfirmed Thank you😄
Bro imagine if they just like had him around puss in every movie, like someone gotta go back and check cuz if they did he is the best villain with no competition
it hink he is in puss in boots 1 i only caught a glimpse but i don't think its him it would be too much detail.
Humpty's words-i was always there😃😃😃
Disney villains : good ☺️
But
DREAMWORKS villains : scary and bbaaaddddaaass ! 🤯🤯
Wow… good catch! I didn’t notice him.
Like a true grim reaper waiting in the shadows always ready to collect another soul
I was actually watching Puss in boots the last wish today and I noticed that
The villain to make Grimmel the Grisly run for the hills.
Lobo Muerto seriously was there for all his deaths. It’s crazy how intense this antagonist is, and he’s such a cool character.
Best dreamworks movie in years.💯🔥

Death always follows your moves, you can't run forever.
DreamWorks like still working on new villain for Shrek 5
He is litterly a walking creepypasta villain, Brilliant!!!
Ffs. HE. IS. NOT. A. VILLAIN.
Death is declared as my favourite dreamworks villain of all time
Bro fr just said “I laugh at the face of death” to deaths face
Bro said “ima watch u every moment of ur LIFE”👀👀
I wonder if he can be spotted in the bakery
Death isn't a villain he is an anti-villain
Death is the one villain that can strike fear into even the bravest of heroes.
what’s even a better detail in the cave scene he even says he was there to witness all of puss in boot’s deaths because puss later on dies there from the bell
That's terrifying oh my word this guy is amazing
What would be really cool is if we went back and seen him the other movie.
Shriek 5 is confirmed maybe we might see him there
Death is also present on Puss's 5th death, in the short 'the trident' which is a retelling of the 5th death, you can see the silhouette of Death on the quarterdeck of the ship before Puss wastes a death
wolf man: *peacefully stands still*
this dude: OMG SO SCARY AAA !1!1!1!1!1!1!1
never said that to any wolf like character but *IM IMPRESSED GIVE ME YOUR TALENT*
He isn’t the big bad wolf, there already is one he’s straight up death
One more detail at the end of the movie is that the stars look like wolf
This is why DreamWorks makes the best movies

I think 💬,..you just makes things up, I observe it at least 3x on that movie,..and i never notice it at all. I believe you liars.
He's always there, watching, just waiting the moment, you don't know, but he's always there.
"I was always there"
Humpty did it better
After that fight with a large guy puss was dead .just before death was there
This wolf is so cute !
I LITERALLY jumped back as you pointed this out, holy crap!
Jumpscare 😅
This was one of the best animated movies I've seen in awhile. I was really surprised by it
He's always watching
I recently saw a video revealing his presence. I was shell shocked. Dreamworks did that Easter egg perfectly.
Death be like:
' I'm ALWAYS watching you! I know where your hiding!'😈😈😈😈
The first one also have hidden humpty dumpty in many scenes. This one gotta be a throwback
This movie still doesn’t release in the UK until next month 😭 (at least we get the Mario movie on march 30th an entire week earlier than everywhere else)
Yeah yall are lucky
Saw someone call him the big bad wolf. Bro confused death with a role playing animal
He is also behind the giant when puss is singing if u zoom in you can see his red eyes
Later in the movie, Death does in-fact mention that he's been watching each of Puss in Boot's lives :)
Bro took stalking a whole another level
The Big Bad Wolf Is my Fav villian in the movie
There is no other way to describe that but terrifying! that was some awesome work spotting that bro 😁👍
OMG!! This is finally one of those videos which actually show what you haven't noticed
Now that is attention to detail
Death is absolutely an terrifying villian
Another cool detail is the depth of meaning behind his threat to Puss, when they fled Jack Horner's factory.
He placed two coins on his eyes.
In a fair few cultures, it is customary to bury the dead with some spare change. Specifically, in Greek mythos, they do this so that the dead can pay Charon, the ferryman of the dead.
The cultural history behind the threat is just so damn good.
Not to mention, death showed up during or after dangerous fights/situations. Very poetic.
i think i might’ve seen death in the oven death scene
Pixar needs to take Notes right now!
ignores and makes asses larger
When death chases you down
What I love about Death is that, he wasn't that consistent of a threat, which is honestly good since that isn't what he's suppose to be. He doesn't serve the role of a villain, he serves the role of a lesson, a reminder of mortality, and in a way, he pushes Puss to eventually live the life that he cherishes instead of a life that brings him glory and fame.
Death wasn't the villain, he was the consequence of Puss' own actions, he was the aftermath, he was the omega, he was the end.
Puss fought death, not for his own glory or for his pride, but for his life and the life of those he cared about. He couldn't defeat death in the beginning because he was only fighting to defend his pride, he was able to over come him because he swallowed his pride and fought out of love for the ones he loved.
At the end he didn't really defeat Death, he only showed that he was ready to actually start caring about his life.
TL;DR Death wasn't constantly chasing after Puss, he was only looming over him, and Puss over came him by fighting with his heart instead of with his pride (and yes, I mean that metaphorically, rhetorically, poetically, theoretically, and every other fancy way)
That part when humpty says to puss "I was always there"
Even if you think you're alone...Death is always there. Watching, waiting.
Death Wolf is the combination of all Dream Works Antagonist.
The Incredibles music in the back ground makes it even better
bro really make me feel like watching a disturbing horror caught on camera
I may have a chance to watch it again in theaters so I will pay attention to the backgrounds when the doctor is asking about his deaths
He might be harsh or scary but he is truth of our lives.
You can also hear his whistle just before puss walk back into frame before he gets crushed by the bell
DreamWorks villain + Whistle = Terrifyingly Scary
Bro the wolf whistling gave me a damn nightmare
The scariest character like every time he whistles that scares me
Po chilling until he hears this sound
You know why the wolf is so terrifying even for us the audience because he breaks the 4th wall as a villain in the movie and in real life too, death is always watching us too and who knows maybe when our time comes we'll get to physically see him, not as a wolf obviously but maybe way more terrifying.
Me when I saw the cover of vid:Oh gosh,I see death
