Exploring Robben Island 2006

My family and I are in South Africa and one of the first exciting things we needed to do is visit Robben Island. It is a historic island near Cape Town, South Africa, known for its former prison that housed Nelson Mandela during the apartheid era. Visitors can take a ferry from the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town to reach the island, which offers guided tours providing insights into South Africa's history and the struggle against apartheid.
