What was the last menu item you ate at McDonald's and how expensive was it? This American chain almost always tastes better outside of the USA, and we tried some of the menu items unique to Malaysia! If you're wanting to see some local food in Malaysia, check out this video: ua-cam.com/video/cgu3lOOfmbw/v-deo.htmlsi=nNtdUjGpqt8qx63C
If you guys get a chance to see it, Chonnydae is currently in Malaysia. They are a couple from Melbourne Australia who travel around also. I have seen them eat at Makkers from all over.
8:41 The foldover feels a bit Greek to you because it's supposedly Mediteranean Arabic food. The garlic sauce is Arabic, same kind served with Mandy Rice. Chicken/Beef Foldover used to be a special seasonal menu offered during Ramadhan. Malaysian McDonald's is owned by a Saudi company. You can always ask for more napkins. You may skip the queue for that.
Where I live in Austria, McDonald's is much more expensive than back home in the US but I have to admit that their burgers are much tasiter and better. I can't believe these prices in Malaysia! Thanks for sharing.
Uploaded only 40 minutes ago and already 7 spam/scam comments..... You guys are getting famous 😅 That being said, the food looks delicious and the country is actually clean!! I love it
Our local coffees are made with Liberica beans instead of Arrabiata, so it’s stronger, a bit more bitter and a bit chocolaty/earthy then when you add susu (milk but we usually use condensed milk and evaporated milk) you get the ice cream type of creaminess, like an ice blended mocha with ice cream
The cost of living is cheaper so they don't have to charge as much as in the USA. We need to stop comparing us to them and saying they need to make more money as the companies charge what the people can afford unlike in the USA where the restaurants think they need force us to make their CEO's rich.
McDonald's always tastes better outside of the USA because outside the USA they Re required to use quality ingredients...other countries have better food standards. I will NEVER get McDonald's ever again in the US.
@@sipenarekbecha7193 let’s just say that the regular menu items they sell are probably at the same level as America’s but they excel in other areas ( eg. They actually sold Korean fried chicken during their collab with Newjeans) , again I do apologize about the phrasing of my previous message, I don’t really have a positive view on Mc Donald’s
I live in the United States and I don't ever have anything sweet for breakfast . I usually have eggs over easy with home fries and sausage or ham or I have a vegetable omelet or a mushroom omelet or a ham and swiss omelette❤
McD's bubur (porridge) is my sick day comfort meal. Somehow it's an unspoken rule for me to pop over to McD drive thru and get the bubur after the trip to see the doctor, especially when I have the fever and flu🤣🤣🤣
One thing we like doing at Berjaya Times Square is to head to the top floor, walk the entire level, move down a floor and repeat until we hit the ground floor. We've found that the basic rule of thumb is the higher the level, the cheaper it is as the big brand/anchor stores are always on the ground floor and of course they are the most expensive. It'll be 7 years since we've been to KL when we go in August and it'll be interesting to see what has changed since last time.
My last mc was the cheapest burger and it was €1,20 by then. This was about 3 years ago, before i moved to a place that doesn't have mcdonalds. I live in the netherlands.
0:39 I just have to mention, as a Dutch, some words here are really familiar. And I don't mean the McNugget. Goreng = cooked / baked / fried, Nasi = rice. And Ayam = chicken. And sambal also is just a Dutch word. Ha. All because of Indonesia, sort of neighbouring Malaysia after all.
Man, I remember going to that specific McDonalds after school, and to that theme park after climbing over my school's walls to escape.... back in the mid 2000s
In you're Asian countries you are correct! Now in Europe the dollar is equal to or actually a little less than the euro!! Same with the English pound , the pound Sterling use to be worth 2 American dollars , so it really depends on where you're at in the world
I remember being so excited about the whole fast food restaurant experience as a lad in the 90s when it was all just so unique here. Because there wasn`t any bbq sauce, maybe not even donuts and everything was shiny and new, dude. Today i love all of the international changes möhö. 🙂🤗😮

Currently in the US there is a price war against the consumer. I watch several vloggers who eat around the world. On the McDonalds side prices are half or less than what they currently are here. It's so bad McDonald's has proposed to US sellers that they do a special package where something currently priced individually would cost $15 average would be sold for $5 to get people to come back.
wow the chicken looks fantastic there at McDonald's, and the iced coffee sounds awesome I love iced coffee. Who would go to McDonalds to eat and then go on the roller coaster haha, no thank you.
mcd in usa sucks..only the double cheese burger taste good or quarter pounder if made fresh and right but...usually its made by some young zit faced kid that dont give a fuch and the bun is stale and meat and cheese is cold...and its getting more expensive by the minute.
Hi Deana and Phil, great to know that you are loving the Malaysian McD (or as local would said Mekdi) 😅 Regarding the few napkins you guys mentioned at 9:33, I think this is because we usually wash our hands before and after meal. As you might see in a lot of food premises around the country (not just fast food chains) that we have a lot of sinks. Hence, the napkins provided are usually to wipe your hands after you washed it. However, you can always ask for extra napkins at the counter or any servers. They are happy to provide you with no extra charges. Anyways, hope you enjoy visiting our country! 😁✨
You went to Berjaya Time Square? This is not gourmet. You can get little plastic discs at the same place you get your drinking straws from, you should put the chili sauce in those little discs, those papers lining the trays have inks and dyes, not really food grade. And you actually feel full on this serving size? I don't know anyone that says this is a satisfying serving size. Like the buns are not fresh and made of low grade flour, with a recipe that makes the buns look big with lots of air. Kopi Susu : kopi=coffee, susu=milk. But that's not real milk, but like a combo of milk solid, palm oil, emulsifier, etc. Chicken Foldover is actually just another version of burrito or taco, that's a taco wrap, it's called foldover just so McDonald's can trademark it.
Phil, I feel sorry for the question but what was the last time you visited a barber shop ? Your haircut is just spooky. You used to be a cute guy 😀😀. BTW I still love your video kids !! Greetings from Italy. PS: Deana she's always beautiful as usual.
I guess it looks good for the most part. The drinks sound good and the Fried Chicken looks very good. Be careful of eating too much rice. Eating a lot of rice leads to diabetes. As a much older man I am just looking out for your health. ❤🇺🇸🙏🏻✌🏻
So you traveld half to world, to get a nasi lemak with sambal, that you can get everywhere in the Netherlands just not at McDonalds. A hour away from where you live 😂 Whe even had the same spicy cheeseburger last year 😂😂

You can try Malaysia national street food burger - ramly burger. Normally selling at night time, jalan alor have a stall❤
Ramly burger had a mini appearance in our last video!
U do know that Ramly burger’s patty is actually banned in other countries cause it doesn’t meet food safety standards elsewhere right? 😂
@@90taetaeya Food safety is a joke even in the US, so do you think McD safe?
Now ur making me crave somee, the sauce makes it special for sure!

In Malaysia, if you are not feeling well, such as a fever, you must order porridge to eat so that you will be healthier. Learned from a young.
you forgot.. in malaysia if you are not feeling well you go to the bomoh
Mr Azhar surely you cant be serious?
Your international Mcdonalds videos are some of my favorite on your channel

You guys need to appreciate how cheap things are outside US. I got a Big Mac combo last week and it was $12.
Food is more expensive in Canada and most of Western Europe and Australia and New Zealand and probably a couple Asian countries like Hong Kong
Yeahhhhhh. The McD prices in Germany have increased a lot over the past few years. 🙃
If you are looking at the local income per capita, not so cheap.

Hi from Netherlands 😊
Nasi lemak in McDonald's is quite expensive by lical standard. Go to any aircond cafe (Kopitiam) you will get better one at lower price.
foldover is seasonal items… and it’s my favorite!
The rice porridge from Marrybrown is the bomb. Its more filling and satisfying.
You guys are lucky, chicken foldover is only available during fasting month aka Ramadan of the year.
