Food preparation for the 2023 Everglades Challenge adventure race.

This video contains information on how, and what food we packed for the 2023 Everglades Challenge. We used a Hobie Tandem Island sailboat so we could afford some extra weight. This 300 mile adventure race from Fort Desoto in St. Petersburg, Florida to Key Largo, Florida is unsupported and we had to bring all our provisions along with us.
I describe how we pack our food for each day so it stays waterproof. I also talk about the different types of stoves we could have used. We packed 6 days worth of food for what we expected to be a 5 day trip. We did it in 4 days.
While there are a million ways to pack, this is what worked for us, for this trip. I would pack my food differently if I was using a sea kayak. Please leave a comment if there is anything that we could do better or if you have some tips to add of your own.

He started when he was 17. I know many other successful 15 year olds, that’s a good age to start. You each have to learn to be a team that happens to be father son.
