In this case, his pad is behind the puck stopping it from going in and somebody pushes his leg into the net - that is essentially the same thing, you took away his ability to make a play.

I’m a centermen at a high level let. Me tell you when your goalie is frustrated you know you will be dragged in somehow! I’m so frustrated that my team got nocked out in round 3 of the playoffs we did so good that season I scored 39 goals in the regular season and 17 in the playoffs! One a dude pocked our goalie’s glove when it was covered and my teammate who is a defender dropped the gloves and it was a pretty good scrap I loved watching it! LOL! I understand frustration in that game when it actually means a lot at such a high level!

Rask had every right to be mad. He was signalling the issue and was ignored.
It was ignored because Boston didn't have the puck, so it's not an issue for the referees. You don't get a whistle in that situation

Not valid. The only equipment issue that warrants a stoppage of play is a loss of the mask. If he wouldn't have been a baby about it he easily could have made the save. It's not that hard to move without a blade.
