After reading the lyrics, this is what I think the story is about. Two women who fell in love. They loved each other so much that they got a box. At first, they would put all their greed and desires in the box. But then it got a little far and they began to add real body parts into the box with the idea to “Make a friend from scratch.” They named the box, ‘The secret Goldfish’ and gave it to the next pair that would own the box. Which ended up being Gumi and Miku from The Secret Goldfish. Which can be seen at the last part of this song.
With Goldfish actually meaning corpse.

I think the mean of the song is: (probably all wrong, but)
Two girls loved each other so much, and one of then gives to the other one a box that was made to fill with their happiness. Time passes, and they somehow become crazy and start to cut limbs of human bodies and put in the box, because that made then happy, thinking that the limbs combined are their “friends”. But one day, the couple died, and as they said, the box would be passed to another person. Gumi. Gumi discovered about the story of the last couple, and she is already crazy, so she start to cut limbs too, but one day one of her real friends find the box and ask what is inside of it, and Miku (the friend) discover about the secret of the box and as now she knows Gumi’s deadly secret, she will have to pay the price for knowing it, exactly, Gumi started to cut Miku’s limbs against her will.

I love this song's chorus. It's so frantic and crazy. It fits so well with the story. I feel like a lot of my favorite Masa songs are like that. The Secret Box series is the best example though. The characters are just so unhinged.

I love the storytelling in this trilogy omg.
The way the vocals switch parts is so cool with the themes of switching bodies and identities!!! Especially at the end when it switches to Miku singing the main chorus lyrics and Gumi sings the backing parts.
Man, I love the way he uses vocaloids. Usually they sound super choppy and awkward and filled with "auto tone". Obviously it doesn't sound exactly like a human but it sounds pretty dang close! If he keeps up the great songs they'll practically sound human! Gg Masa! Keep up the hard work. (*´꒳`*)

I think the two women started off as friends and then lovers that fostered an intense and violent infatuation towards each other and started mutilating each other and cutting off each other's body parts to keep in the box - in order to, like they said, make a friend from scratch. They died as a result of each other's actions so they never really got to make a friend from scratch like they wanted to, so they passed the box onto a pair of girls. How they knew that they'll be just like them or what their relations with the girls are are unclear but I'm willing to guess they're their mothers or ancestors? Or maybe they picked two girls that reminded them of themselves and their love.

Savera Mathur After finishing watching the pv I had some hesitation if the girls are really Miku and Gumi-canon version, since it seems more likely that they are also victims of Gumi (they very much look like the two other girls in the secret goldfish wrapped in red string). But I'm pretty sure this is the second song in the trilogy "The Secret Series" (name confirmed by Masa himself). The next and last song after this is "The Blessed Ending Of Secrets" or something like that. I already asked Masa on the identity of the brown haired women but so far there's no reply.

Me encanta que sus canciones no han pasado a ser monotonas como otros artistas de Vocaloid.
spock2 su estilo ha mejorado mucho, eso hace que no tenga el suficiente tiempo de hacer muchas ilustraciones, a pesar de ello sigue teniendo esa esencia, es algo fascinante, masa hace un trabajo espectacular.
Masa, no ha cambiado en su estilo de la letra en canciones... y en cuanto al dibujo ha mejorado al pasar de los años... al parecer el dicho "La practica hace al maestro" ha dejado mucho fruto en el.
