I have tested in the past in a clear container indoors. I counted 10 eggs and added an adult ramshorn. They were safe. But I am sure some will get consumed. Thank you for chiming in MedakaHead @LesDL69 !
That young female you pulled out to look at looks stunning already in the sunlight, only going to get better. I keep ramshorn snails with my adults and my fry, like you say they do a fabulous job and I really like them too.
That sun is really helping the babies grow fast! Everyone is looking great! I also keep ramshorn in all of my ponds and they do great living with the medaka. I even have them in my baby bins for the eggs waiting to hatch.
They are stomach less fish so they eat what they can fit in their mouths all day. I would not worry at all! Thank you for chiming in MedakaHead @kingzlatan12 !
@@Ichthys_Aquatics You are located in a hot area so I am sure that your Medakas are used to the warm weather. If you are getting Medakas from a cooler region, I would take precautions. Start observing them at 90F to see how they are looking.. If needed us a shade or move the container to a shaded area.
You don’t have a problem with the snails eating the eggs?..🧐

I know you have talked about the lower temperature thresholds, but what are the upper limits. I live in Florida and my ones reach mid 90’s.
Water temp 100f is where I would start to take measures
@@medakametal Wow that high, amazing
