Kenya is rich enough for all Kenyans not just a few. No one should be struggling in Kenya. It is a very rich country but for a corrupt, greedy few who use guns and violence to intimidate and control the masses by force.
You cannot continue lecturing us about obedience on the side of the citizens whilst their rights are being violated right, left, and center by the government that does not want to follow the law of the land, there cannot be peace in the absence of justice
You misunderstood what he was saying. He's talking to the government, not the citizens. He's telling the government that whatever they are doing is dangerous.
Manyora your language has changed. This is not how you have been speaking in the last few weeks. You sound so humble in the last few days.Umepatiwa kitu.
he has been paid remember he used to say i can advise the president. ameekwa kwa mfuko finally to sell a narrative. Bure kabisa. these old boys are so cheap
I never knew how serious this movement was till a guy from Migori stated ina twitter space that more than 500 youths will be traveling to Nairobi with one mission. To die for this course!! they have even informed their Kins that they may not come Back. This government Just needs to take this issues serious and stop some political cosmetics. These guys are ready to try their lack in statehouse.
Prof , to further your thought on the topic 'At The Point of Collapse' There's something dangerous i have observed , where the Citizenry are comfortable around the Military (KDF) They overpower the police, then when the government brings the KDF...., the wananchi srike a rapport with the military and even start cheering, giving Hi- fives to the KDF guys and in the process passing the message of " We are Better off under the military than politicians" Slowly by slowly, our military will start to entertain Political Power and Appetite . By bringing the military out of the Baracks to mix with protesters , the ruling class is courting danger. Prof Kindly talk about this thing. The danger of Military on the streets in Nairobi in the name of protecting the government in power.
Thanks for the good and wise advise. The situation in Sudan started the same way like what happened in Kenya under the # Bashir must go. Now it's in total war and mayhem. Let citizens of Kenya imagine that they have immunity from such an outcome.
My honour, you always speak I feel tears. Last April , someone just came and claimed my land is his. He started building. The mental torture is too much that I don't believe we are in Kenya. Such easy is how some Kenyan are stealing from the poor. What next now?
We need a competent CS of education our education system is collapsing interact with a grade 8 pupil from a public school and you will get shocked about the quality of education in those schools
Ruto is incompetent. Everything collapsing because he is not working. Spends all his time overseas doing his own businesses and hiding the money he has looted and plundered from Kenya. He must go.
I wholeheartedly disagree with you prof on this. I don't know what happened to you, you were a voice of reason just a few days ago. Let me break down my disagreements in point form: 1. Kenyans have not broken the law nearly as badly as the government has. Demonstrations have been peaceful. Police have been dispersing, attacking and killing unarmed citizens. It is the government that is the law breaker, not the citizens. 2. Goons have been brought in to create violence so as to discredit the demos. These have been paid by Nairobi politicians including the governor himself as we saw vis that video recorded at city hall. The burning of government installations has been an inside job, including parliament, city hall, many county halls. It's government violence, not citizen violence. 3. Kenyans don't think of police as the enemy, only the killer cops. As you have seen even recently when a crowd of demonstrators met Bungei, the Nairobi police commandant, they did not attack him and instead they just changed "we are peaceful", eve though he is responsible for very many deaths in Nairobi through rogue cops under his command. You are advising the wrong people here. Turn your attention to the government, they need to hear this message much more than the citizens.
Prof you are clear, though we find ourselves in these situations when those in leadership fail to embrace other forms of dispute resolutions and chose war on Citizens as the only way. It's human nature to defend themselves from any form of aggression
How I wish that this very important message would reach every sensible person in this country, namely all of us called ordinary citizens, our offsprings, the law enforcement and the country leaders
This ship has sailed bwana Manyora! Projecting piousness and meekness on a people that have no hope in the social safety net around them is a waste of your breath!
Police unit is primitive and the system is colonial driven. The constitution is a pillar of hope to this century and the future. There is need of detail review of the police department and PURPOSE for the military and intense investment of the defence force. The country should focus on a Kenyan scout club. Let's protect the society and the future of our country. Good job Prof. Manyora for speaking out time after time.
Shida na wazee they are always looking out for their interests. There cannot be peace without justice and we will not relent fighting for our rights. Its a shame that people like you don’t want a better country but want to get a few spoils from the corrupt regime
Who is "government"? For heaven's sake? The government is you, me, Manyora etc. "" Government of the people, by the people, for the people". Parents are failing big time. Parents, parents, parents, please stop sleeping on your parenting job s. Mold your children into responsible and patriotic citizens and also future leaders . Don't leave the task to teachers or politicians.
There is nothing like "requesting the leaders." Leadership is a trait that is lacking among the political class in positions of governance. The statement should be "appealing for leadership from the political class." A President, attending to home-coming celebrations for a CS nominee spells doom for a country. Executive work is demanding, and when one has no idea about the role, they bury themselves in operations. This, unfortunately, is our Waterloo, which will get worse as the next elections near. We are in trouble.
Prof Manyora, what about when Ruto continually flouts the constitution. This thing is two way. Both Ruto & the police should abide by the constitution & it's dictates just as we citizens do.
Are you suggesting young people stop recording??? They do so to defend and protect themselves as police are known for their violent crimes and brutality. Come to Europe My Brother and see How The Citizens record Police even when no crime committed. It’s not illegal to record. To protect yourself and for evidence please always record what’s happening we are in 2024 World is changing and you gotta change with it My Friend.
Manyira, bt the man who stood @ that point u describes as the one loosing his supporters & become irrelevant in his political supporters, that is Raila now you are changing?
With all due respect it starts by respecting the Constitution. Once the leadership has disrespected and violated the constitution it becomes hard to govern the citizenry. The leadership not be as corrupt as is to obvious and get away with it.Lastly in a case where there is lip service to tribalism eradication what to you expect. It starts with the leadership living by example. Violence by the state begets violence. The abductions and police brutality and deaths etc only fuels hatred that will consume the country.
Huy pia ni akili anatuchezea ...sasa hizi ni nini anatuambia.....this "Warped Sense of Conservatism" is what has brought us all these ills we are witnessing ...we will be anarchical and disobedient till we "EQUALIZE" everything
Normalcy in the police force is colonial! The country has moved on ! It is for the police to adapt to the times not the other way around! You’re actually resistant to change by virtue of your age! You can sense danger ‼️ because the politicians are vomiting on us and even the older unwritten rules and safeguards are being ignored! Democracy is expensive & we chose this route‼️
Kenya is slowly going into a very bad state. A few people want to continually loot as millions starve. Kenya is rich enough for all. Where will you take the billions????
What laws are the genZs breaking .you mean by demonstrating peacefully our kids are normalising violence ......man are you suggesting the unemployed youth to coil their tails and ruto continues to destroy kenya ....your advice should be directed to ruto and his goons ......or is it that prof you are now satisfied because your idol raila is now in government? Wonders never cease to occur.
You sound suspicious lately my hero.A government job should be forthcoming soon as you have changed the tune. To you, Raila is ok to sanitize Ruto. Are you going to forsake the GenZ as well?
Is it just me, or is Manyora trying to ingratiate himself to Government? I respect his opinion as a Prof, but he sounds like Farah Maalim and Ruto should be sympathetic to give him a job
Are you awear of generational change where God had released Africa from courses of Ignorance and poverty, religion etc 03.05.2019 this and time for Africa to prosper to God holder generation is a by the way and the solution is admitting to free Kenya by building it's own economy and not depending on western to continue promote slavery like slave masters forcing the duty Wisdom matters.
You talk about Obedience yet The Kenyan government and those making deals on behalf of the Kenyan people on the international stage are universally looked at as woefully incompetent and are the laughing stock of the developed world - when a kenyan representative walks into a meeting in Washington DC - London - Eastern Europe - Asia - they are looked at as fools - not competent negotiators to be reckoned with - THAT is what Gen Z is trying to change - There are hundreds of videos on youtube demonstrating the incompetence of the Kenyan police - and 'GSU' is just another gang of order followers with guns - they have zero understanding of the concept of 'Government by the people for the people'
Your analysis is so wrong..so we shouldn't fight for our rights and good governance just for your puported peace to prevail?. Hatutaumia tukiona. We can't let the greedy fellows rule as they wish. What does the consitution mean to you when it says all powers belong to the people? we kwenda huko
Kenya is rich enough for all Kenyans not just a few.
No one should be struggling in Kenya. It is a very rich country but for a corrupt, greedy few who use guns and violence to intimidate and control the masses by force.
Very true
Mixed tea kwa bill nyangu
You are right Kenya is rich. Rich enough for all to be rich. A few want it all for themselves.

You cannot continue lecturing us about obedience on the side of the citizens whilst their rights are being violated right, left, and center by the government that does not want to follow the law of the land, there cannot be peace in the absence of justice
Manyora is a thoroughly disingenuous individual!
He shamelessly sanitise police brutality against unarmed youths! Shame on him.
Exactly
You misunderstood what he was saying. He's talking to the government, not the citizens. He's telling the government that whatever they are doing is dangerous.
The state should respect Law and citizens will respect Law.
Manyora your language has changed. This is not how you have been speaking in the last few weeks. You sound so humble in the last few days.Umepatiwa kitu.

I thought so too.

If government was serious, such brain of Manyora can produce the best advisors. How I wish
Absolutely!!!
Nope 😂 today he sounds too much like the government 😢
@kanmwangi my thought too
He seems to be supporting the govt
Even me how I wish that someone in power would take notice. It’s our country.
This is on point prof, you’re Right on the money
Let’s return to normalcy and use alternative methods to resolving conflicts 🙏
I never knew how serious this movement was till a guy from Migori stated ina twitter space that more than 500 youths will be traveling to Nairobi with one mission. Prof , to further your thought on the topic
'At The Point of Collapse'
There's something dangerous i have observed , where the Citizenry are comfortable around the Military (KDF)
They overpower the police, then when the government brings the KDF...., the wananchi srike a rapport with the military and even start cheering, giving Hi- fives to the KDF guys and in the process passing the message of " We are Better off under the military than politicians"

Prof Kindly talk about this thing.
The danger of Military on the streets in Nairobi in the name of protecting the government in power.
Let Ruto go and Kenya shall return to normalcy
This is what I want the Prof to say, but he's very diplomatic 😢.
He will go if you vote him out in 2027. That's your constitution.
Great words of wisdom
We have been pushed to the situation you are describing. Si kupenda but one day, people will pick up arms to defend themselves and their culture.
Your assessment are correct .
Thanks for the good and wise advise. The situation in Sudan started the same way like what happened in Kenya under the # Bashir must go. Now it's in total war and mayhem. Let citizens of Kenya imagine that they have immunity from such an outcome.

I'm so sorry to learn that
Pray JUDITH 9/11-12. Look for it in the Catholic Bible and thank me later in 2 months.
You can easily access the scripture by googling.
Obedience to the law and civility starts from the top. If impunity is live in Govt why should the citizens be civil Prof?
In Kenya, the Root Cause of what you're Describing is yours Truly; Samoei arap Ruto.
Take that to the Bank.
He Vacates Office and Kenya Rejuvenates.
In a few months
We need a competent CS of education our education system is collapsing interact with a grade 8 pupil from a public school and you will get shocked about the quality of education in those schools

@enosjunior1162 My prayer is for God to protect you from all dangers.
@@cecilia1950Wambui_ Thank you
If it walks like a duck, it's a duck. 😊 its easy to stop a protest but a revolution its hard. I hope genzi can listen to their parents.
This should be directed at the govt NOT the citizens. This kind of gaslighting is unacceptable.
Nane nane is the day
This ship has sailed bwana Manyora! Projecting piousness and meekness on a people that have no hope in the social safety net around them is a waste of your breath!

The political class has United and Kenyans are on their own. The police need to change with changing times.

Manyora we respect you but kind of stealing we have in kenya we are already death so we meet Tuesdays we have nothing to loose as young people
Prof, wonderful advice.
Very well analysed police getting or needing GSU military type help or army, shows something has gone wrong.
There is nothing like "requesting the leaders." Leadership is a trait that is lacking among the political class in positions of governance. The statement should be "appealing for leadership from the political class."

😂😂Proff😂Wot happened 😅
You are barking at the wrong tree. Give that speech to the government, not the people.
The serikali listen to his UA-cam. So he is speaking to us and the government.
As Kenyans we are so forgetful in less than a month we are back to where we used to be.
Tena wanatokea kwa wingi wakampigie makofi. Nimeshangaa pia.

Go and lecture the government and the security agencies to stop being criminals. When they stop doing that the citizens will be law abiding.
Well done Prof.
Ruto is the root of all the current Kenyan problems.
Since independence! Only when we are honest is when we'll solve our problems
He’s not the root but he represents the root and the rot of Kenya’s national values, the root goes back to pre independence.
I am afraid professor we are not living in normal times, and so things can't be normal as usual.
Prof Manyora, what about when Ruto continually flouts the constitution. This thing is two way. Both Ruto & the police should abide by the constitution & it's dictates just as we citizens do.
