Saw STP in Anaheim summer of 2000 at the Weenie Roast. There were about 12 or more bands that played from 1pm to 1am with a revolving circular stage to avoid intermissions. Scott came out dressed as Gwen Stefani who was also there, in a black skin tight gown. As everyone chanted No Doubt, he danced around for a minute and then sang into the megaphone. “I AM SMELLING LIKE A ROSE THAT SOMEBODY GAVE ME ON MY BIRTHDAY DEATHBED”. When the drums kicked in he threw the pink wig into the crowd and proceeded to blow everyone away! Korn closed the show in epic fashion or so the acid would lead you to believe, haha. They were as good live as anyone live, when he was clean.

I remember hearing STP for the first time and I also remember getting a bad vibe about Scott...I had this feeling that he wouldn’t be around for long...He was really talented but just too damn good for planet earth.....twenty some odd years later he’s gone.....for what it’s worth I am Glad he left a pretty good body of work to feed his legacy. The dude was a rocket with a short damn fuse...I hope with time folks will forgive him for the person the demons and drugs turned him into. R.I.P. S.W.
