If you are a small business outside of these centers you are ignored.
In this technology based and convenient era, I can't imagine why anyone would want to live in the middle of nowhere on a cliff, basically in the dark ages. I,myself think these places you show are absolutely beautiful! But I'd only be interested in such places as a getaway from life. Not life itself.
That's not true, there is also advertisement about living in North of Norway and get the house for free, my husband asked about that in one of the kommune in North Norway, they said its not true
They often only give that stuff to people which wouldn't need it anyway, or if you have a trade they need + are fluent in the language. In Italy they basically want often want prove of your wealth, if you provide it then they say "YEAH! Si, si, come here :) And let us tax your wealth, oki? (:" - So you pay like 800 Bucks a month and get 800 bucks back from then, but they can use your 800 Bucks for Stuff and write off the 800 Bucks they give you as wellfare expanses for which they get more from the State. It's kinda like those cheap houses in Italy; they either have such strict restriction in regards of renevotions that you already have to be rich to afford that or at least have enough money to basically do nothing else. Edit: Also, in Italy, they wont speak englisch in those small villages. They ain't. So you have to be fluent in italian, not "learning".

That money are not conjured from thin air, it's provided to those communes that are economic drain on the rest of the country from the communes that are economically successful. If a commune can't justify it's existence then it shouldn't exist in it's current form, if a nation is to be prosperous and provide free healthcare and education it needs to adapt and survive or it will implode, as we are seeing in Norway right now.
Well I'm Canadian and I live in rural Ontario. That's hard to beat. Kirkenes Norway wants to pay my accommodation to live there, will teach me Norwegian, and grant me citizenship in a year. Very tempting. I love snow. But I'm not fond of seafood.

I live in rural Maryland on the Eastern Shore where the nearest town big enough to accommodate a Walmart is 45 north in Delaware, or bout an hour south. The govt has these programs to take in immigrant doctors, they have to do three yrs here, then they get their citizenship n typically move away, leaving us to a constant revolving door of doctors. Seems the docs that remain here are rejects that couldnt get hired by big city hospitals, so ppl typically end up driving 1.5hrs to Baltimore MD or Wilmington DE for top notch healthcare. All this n more would be far more scarce, but definitely worth it for a young zealous couple. I def would not want to relocate to these villages as a single person. Anyway, nice widow’s peak, Steve. The problem is circular, people leave those areas because there are no good job opportunities. So unless you can work remote and there is enough infrastructure to even support remote working, this is very difficult to pull off.
You can move to a residence that has less than a thousand people and open a job, but you can't do it without owning land and title with out strings attached, you can't be a renter, you have to be a owner and be involved in the community!!!

okay I've lived in Saskatchewan my entire life that's 50 years. and I think I'm worried about a tornado twice !!!! like I live here and I never hear about tornadoes . you have to remember that Saskatchewan is 90,000 square miles bigger than California with a population of about 1.2 million realistically you'll be lucky to see a tornado. and as for being cold yes it's cold but realistically if there's only about 3 weeks out of the Year where it's just bad you just for the winners and you climateize it takes 2 to 3 years Saskatchewan is a friendly welcoming place. an amazingly safe place for your family.
