In today's video we are starting a brand new series! We are thrilled to be going back to Japan to see Akane's parents and explore this beautiful country a bit more.
We have been to Japan before, going to Okinawa the last time. This time we will be focusing on another part of the island - Nagasaki. Here we look at the atomic history that is found here and the natural beauty of some of the national parks.

This video was so well done showing your travels during this weird era. That plane was so empty. Rosalie wants to go to Japan because she see’s it on social media all the time. That seemed like an intense quarantine. At least you got time to spend with family. How did both of you meet?
Long time not seeing parents and family and I always prefer an early morning flight, especially when the flight is nice and empty too. Three days seems dam quick to get a visa, so I would not mind paying too much over the odds. That hotel was small but it the price reflected the size fair enough. I sure do not miss all the Covid restrictions and hard to believe we actually had to go through all that now, cheers Alan
Yeah, we are trying to go every other year, but we had the flights cancelled all together the year before, which is why we had to postpone it. I am really glad that a lot of the covid measures are gone. We had really strict rules here in eastern Canada so I actually felt more free in Japan when we went!
That is a really empty flight! What an insane process to go to Japan during Covid! The Japanese government was definitely not messing around there!
Going there in Covid was a unique experience. Usually there are hundreds of people on those flights. It was so strange that it was almost empty. Nope! Some really interesting measures - some seemed strict while other parts seemed very free. Kinda didn't make sense to have it both ways.
