The only that gets me about these movie stars getting rides in fighter planes is that I worked on F-15s for 4 years and I begged for a ride and got told to piss off. These jags come in and the Air Force hands em out like candy.
As a previous 130 Loadmaster, I did my share of flying while in the AF. With that being said, I FULLY agree with your comment. YOU work on the jet and can't even get a ride! Then comes (insert favorite celebrity) and they get the full on treatment. Sickening!

You as a AF personel won't get one in these since it costs a ton of money for a hour of flight, you won't get the USAF or any branch of military good PR views, and since your in the air force they expect you to make a few sacrifices. I would love to ride in one of these multi-million dollar jet fighters, but I am not in the public eye like a movie/tv star is. It won't ever happen.
Lenard Malcolm thank you for your service but are you telling me on a one-on-one combat situation the Australian military could keep up with the United States military?
Chris Madtha So in your opinion the only thing the Americans have are strength in numbers and not being more advanced technology wise? That's simply not true
It was incredible that an Actor took some time off and spent the time with the troops. Just Matt Demon and other actors who support our troops. It boost our moral and motivates. Thank you for this sharing this video.
Funny story, My father was the Ops Group commander when Tom Cruise came through. One of his squadrons (36th Fighter Squadron) took him up for the F16 flight he has mentioned before. As a thank you he asked the guys if there was anything he could do for them. A young 1st Lt jokingly said a popcorn machine for the hooch bar would be great. About a month later one arrived and it gets restocked with popcorn, oil, etc a few times a year still to this day. This happened back in either 95 or 96 (hard to remember back that far.) I got a chance to meet him while he was at Osan (I was about 11 or 12 at the time) the first thing I said to him was "You made my father change his callsign from Maverick to Irish."
F-16 is such a beautiful machine, first time I saw one years ago, fell in love with the Falcon. (Owned Falcon 4.0 way back in the day...was a simulation of the Block 50/52 F-16 Fighting Falcon)
No, like targeting systems, counter measures, jammers, radar, weapon systems, communication and digital systems, etc.. as it stands USA has air superiority over the rest world, if they want to remain that way you dont show everyone ur playing cards I work along side maintenance crews that fix these jets, sometimes you’re not even aloud to look at some of this stuff
@@cameronstanley2533 there really isn't much classified of the F16 and besides that, the cam is to show the seat, not the instrument panel. It really is a shitty place to put a camera.
As soon as I saw Texas flags everywhere, and that he was going up in an F-16, I figured that they were at the Fort Worth JRB. My dad has been a mechanic/F-16 wing expert for Lockheed Martin for 40 years and works at the plant that is joined with this base. It's cool to know that this wasn't far from me.
Gerard Butler flew with the Thunderbirds and now Hugh Jackman gets to fly with 31st fighter Squadron ... F- 16's are getting very popular than before. It was always a brilliant flying machine.
I have made parts for this beautiful machine. A friend of mine got life time vertigo after flying in one. You can also see Jack`s demeanor change from arrival to getting into the plane.
I wish they could have installed multiple cameras around Hugh Jackman focusing on him without showing any classified dials of dashboard; or cover them since Hugh Jackman did not need to operate any of these dials.

Its really sad.. how they treat there own people.. at list could have done some lottery system since this flights are costly.. but dont do that.. do they??
Feel better now? I think it's awesome that these A-list Hollywood actors can take time away from their families and busy schedules to appreciate our country's military. I'm an Army veteran myself and feel nothing but pride.
Boy, this is nothing like Gerald Butlers flight with the Blue Angels. Hugh Jackman is great, and the only people I see in this video that dont rise to the level of the Blue Angels crew is all the people, pilots, and crew members that just acted like this was a big pain in the ass. Disappointing to say the least!
Gerard actually flew with the USAF Thunderbirds, not the Blue Angels (which are with the Navy, not Air Force like the Thunderbirds.) But yea, I agree that Gerard's flight video was awesome. Never had the fortune to fly like that myself, but I have seen a few Blue Angels stunt shows at least in my day ;)

Came here after watching Gerard Butler Flies with Thunderbirds video
Same lol
Hugh who?
Same gerard and hugh are hot af
LOL! - Same HERE!
SEEMED like There was A LITTLE MORE Action/Footage that was Covered, in Gerard Butler's vid!
immediately noticed the differences in uniforms , the thunderbirds all have tailored tight fitting ground uniforms LOL
Did he pass the metal detector when he entered the base ?
Void Space I don't think you understand how entering an air force base works
Might be a reference to Wolverine during the Cockrum era of the X-Men comic....he DID set off metal detectors when entering the Pentagon...
really? you get the chance to find out if its real and you just let him in without !?!
I saw the TX on his vertical stabilizer. Did he fly out of Ellington joint base in Houston?
@@keymind117 I dont think you understand how a joke works
Seeing Hugh "Wolverine" Jackman on the side of that aircraft gave me goosebumps for some reason. What a badass opportunity .
Me too...
Thank you Mr. Jackman for your support of our military and their families.
Great to see him at the 457th Fighter Group of the 301st. I served there for 10yrs.
The.. Great State of Texas! DFW was my Stomping Grounds. 💖
Damn....Hugh Jackman can play Joel from Last of Us! :-o
Good call. I'm sure Naughty Dog considered him.
@@MrTheedarkhorse well no theres a show coming out apparently so maybe he can do that lol
Hugh loves the military. Despite being Australian, I've actually seen him give to charities that help U.S. troops.
sportsmed77 you do realise Australia has a military as advanced and good as the US ? I’m ex army I know
Lenard Malcolm thank you for your service but are you telling me on a one-on-one combat situation the Australian military could keep up with the United States military?
ScM40K he doesn’t mean keeping up... he means technologically equivalent. The Americans have numbers but are equally equipped as the Australians.
Chris Madtha So in your opinion the only thing the Americans have are strength in numbers and not being more advanced technology wise? That's simply not true
The Australian says only lost one man in Vietnam
3:17 they even put his name on it.
You just know those Airmen are having the time of their lives with Wolverine.
We absolutely were he was very nice to us and very polite. Easily one of the nicest celebrities I've ever met in my life.

And like no offense man I wish you all the mental help of course but when u eff up other countries I can’t really say you’re the respectable kind.
He’s Australian ya tool...supporting troops? Dumbass!
Everybody's a fighter pilot until Tom Cruise arrives
and everybody's,s a better actor than tom "ruse" the cruise
Tom who, is he an actor or something.
😁
And their still a fighter pilot afterwards 🙄

Hey, I remember that! I was leaving the base when he came on. One of our Jets still has his name on it I think...
Love that he did this in texas!!! Love my state!!!
I'm just gonna say that this sort of smile that just wouldn't go away puts smiles on people's faces.
Loved the in-flight dialog.
Thank you for sharing this experience with us! Hope you liked it. It seems cool!
Wow, they even painted his name on the fuselage!
Just FYI, it's actually a sticker. They have computer controlled, high-precision cutting machines that cut them out from blanks
Hugh 'Wolverine' Jackman Couldn't have put it more perfect 👍
That looks so fun! I can’t wait to ride one of those #USAF! 🥰
Hugh Jackman has a personality that makes you enjoy watching him enjoy things.
"look, up in the sky, its the wolverine!"
nice to understand, that all those people are best pilots
Now the Gerard Butler flying with the Thunder birds thats how it's done!
What a missed opportunity of Jackman and the pilot doing a SLOW MODE walk the the jet!
“Don’t worry about any heavy G’s; my skeleton is Adamantium and I have an excellerated healing factor.”
how cool is that they put his name and character on the plane .....

God Bless America and Australia
I love what they did to the side of his seat there: Hugh “Wolverine” Jackman
i remember when i was enlisted you had to go to ejection seat school before u could get a back seat hop.

+Ricky Reynolds Vertigo is not very funny, but the experience must be worth a hundred vertigos at once. The F16 is in eyes THE most beautiful fighter.

I’m here after Gerard Butler’s 9.3 G’s Thunderbird flight, what kind of roller coaster is this?? Wolverine becomes into a kitten 🐱 😂
I thought it was 9.4g's. But what's a tenth after 7 anyway?
Dexter Fletcher and Taron Eggerton, just casually hanging out there too. WHAT!
Maybe his papers say Hugh Jackman but we all know that he is Wolverine
“You were the one that was attacked by the Grizzly?” Wolverine to Troop
Rubbish camera work not great to be honest
f-16 are horrible to film back seat passengers. f18 are the best
Ken Desjarlais I understand but it shows nothing we supposed to be watching how this Actor thinks of flying.
+Ken Desjarlais *Gerald Butler* did a ride in the *F16* and view was excelent
who shot and edited this shit??
Should have had Dexter Fletcher direct the film, he was there, I saw him at the start of the vid.
He's like. Wow, this is show much better than in the movies.
I'm so jealous
Hugh Jackman has the best stance and physique.. its nice to see Tarret Egerton saluting Hugh on the tarmac
Like Gerard Butler, Hugh Jackman has been blessed with a cinematic career, and, an opportunity to fly with The United States Air Force. Hooah!!🇺🇸🗽🦅🔫
And Tom Cruise
What a badass callsign.
did I see Dexter Fletcher in there, Press Gang
Best recommended video I’ve seen by far!
That was the kiddie park ride compared to gerard butlers 9.4G hellride!
Sorry those planes wont do over 9gs...there only certified for 7.5gs

I was expecting Ryan Reynolds trying to take Hackman's thunder! Hahaha
Look at his eyes before takeoff and after , it's amazing )
didn't even record the take off that's the best part
It's weird to think that Hugh was flying in an F-16 above my sisters house...lolol

I wonder what Dr. Perry Cox would have to say about that??

+Brian Cullen I bet he did. I've never met him myself, but I've heard from those who have, that he's a really cool, down-to-earth guy.
He meant that Hugh was lucky to have flown in an F-16. Not that the pilot was lucky to have met him. I think you've got it backwards

he passed out between 6:57 to 7:10 hehe ^_^
