I agree as a top dasher they sent me a 1.50 delivery back to back then a 8 dollar for 9.5 miles SMH rewards not worth it
My AR is 88 percent completion and on time both 100 percent customer rating 4.95. I see NO option for these programs in my market North of Pittsburgh in Kittanning Pa. Why is that?

I was at platinum status for a whole month with a 76% acceptance rate. Lo and behold, they just started sending me all the garbage! Now I’m in the silver tier lol No difference if you ask me tbh

Exactly what my comment was on your last video. That rolling AR is a brilliant algorithm programing for the app, and makes us take crap orders to get more crap offers, with the vague " promise" of better future offers.... maybe.🎉
I had busted my butt one day to get to 40%. Then the next time I logged in I got nothing but crappy orders that I'd be a fool to accept. So I declined until I was back down to 20% or lower. It was ridiculous! And then DD did me dirty with sending me a shop and deliver order that I had previously declined, stacked with a restaurant. I didn't put 2 and 2 together until after I'd finished the delivery for both. And the shop and deliver was for a 44lb bag of dog food to a 2nd floor apartment with NO TIP! The restaurant had a tip and was a good order. But DD did me dirty making me deliver that order of just $2 after already declining it. 🤬
It really disappointed me to the point that it's been hard to muster any kind of will to do it anymore. 😔

Same. I fired dooordash a week ago. If I keep delivering for Dd, I will be literally ruining the economy worse than they already are. .
I'm at 20% acceptance rate, i did a $32 offer on dd the other day here in national city mike. I'm just an average joe on dd and still recieve decent offers.
This new tier program is a race to 100% acceptance rate. If you're not at least 85 to 90% and up, you'll see a ton of trash orders like it used to be when less than 50%. 70% ish, while being platinum is huge pressure inducing until you get back above 85% imo.
I couldn't take it anymore and just stopped dashing. Made me feel like an employee dashing. Never been happier when i stopped jumping through DD's hoops to keep platinum status.
Please do a Friday or Saturday dinner shift with Gold status so we can see what it's like during the busiest time for the best potential orders! Thanks for everything Mike! 🙏👍

My research has concluded that the higher your tier level status, the algorithm is actually programmed to prioritize you to receive low paying offers.
Because if you’re that high of a level, it knows you will accept them so you’ll get those crappy orders
They don't advertise the higher tier as 'this will get rid of the trash offers,' but that's how many drivers read 'priority for higher paying orders.'

If they bring this trash to my market, I'll be having a feast with all the no tip orders until they deactivate me, then inbetween doing my other job and gigs I'll be trashing doordash on every single restaurant in my zones google maps, facebook, etc, reviews. "Do not ever order doordash from this restaurant..." enough restaurants that start complaining to dd about their negative reviews the sooner they will ditch this bullshit. Especially as restaurants start taking them off the platform.
@@KevinT7274I’ve always got good orders when all mines was in the green. Every time I do per gig and decline decline bad offers my offers get worse and once you hit 60% acceptance rate it’s completely trash or you get order that are too far like $13 for 12.5 miles. I’m not doing that. All it takes is working per hour and accepting all orders for like 2 to 3 days to get back to the green. When you do per offer it’s good only if you 80% and better which is easy to get if you got the nerves and time.
My experience has also been they always send you horrible orders when you're just above the line. They know people will take the worst orders to not drop to the previous level. I fully believe they've incorporated that into the algorithm.
I hate it. I would get to 70 then they would send me crap and bump me to 68.
I feel like that just makes DoorDash a joke 😭
So far Silver and Gold aren't that great. Still haven't done enough shifts to really tell so more to come
I've been staying on platinum status since the tier inception from the 7th of March. I don't shop & deliver anymore due to the amount of denials I had to take which dropped my AR quickly. I still get crappy orders. It seems like every time my AR increases they always, and I mean, ALWAYS, get an order that I have to turn down because it's totally ridiculous. Like offering me $2.50 to travel 12.5 miles...crap like that. Their algorithm seems to favor me if I accept every order. The minute I cancel one or stop and move to a better paying area...anything that upsets that flow...I get screwed by getting a bunch of ridiculous offers. I can be in the perfect spot on a Friday night at 6:00pm and still get terrible orders. Some days I'll make $25-35 an hr but most of the time I wind up making about $22 an hr. I can honestly say this while new system is designed to make me take more crappy offers than I wish to.
No matter what you do the trash offers will always be there. Of course Doordash and the other gig apps want us to take those orders, they get paid those fees regardless of what the customer tipped. The no tip order is just as important to them as the one that has a $20 tip.
I appreciate your videos, all your quest to platinum has done is prove to me it's all just chasing carrots to achieve a mythical status to make mythical increased earnings that I already make with my 8% AR
Good luck to you. The pressure is even greater with Platinum. The system is messed up in a variety of ways. Some markets are having the AR min at 80% to maintain Gold and Platinum. How insane, greedy, and backwards is that for those who put forth long term true effort, time, energy, expense, and vehicle wear. Total slap in the face.

I remember in 2023 if you started off great and ended “Top Dasher” you would BE top dasher the WHOLE entire month after. This year SUCKS! SOOOOOO, I got an E-bike! Avoid shop and deliver and get mostly restaurant orders.
It’s only anecdotal evidence, but I feel the same. Seems that when my AR lowers close to the threshold between highest tier and mid-tier, it seems like they stick me with a few bad orders knowing that the driver probably doesn’t want to go down a tier. But also…on the other end, when I’m at the highest tier, they sometimes throw me good orders that I’m surprised I get, because I’m sure there must be other dashers that are closer. For instance $20 for 5 miles, but 3 of those 5 miles is driving to the restaurant. And this is in a densely populated area.

So I will take the not to great orders because doordash is all I do, the only perk from my Platinum status is the ability to dash anytime anywhere.... I can drive several hundred miles in a direction,dash for an hour or two , and using the money from the dash for gas make an other several hundred miles to an other market or where I'm head on that journey.

And now the most difficult part, being able to reach 100 trips in the last 30 days so that you are platinum level and I'll be honest, the biggest benefit is that you can connect anywhere and access catering orders, of which I already have 7 weeks in Los Angeles as a platinum level and I have not received a catering order , good video, thanks Mike, I loved the video shots from outside the car 👍
Yeah, that’s how I feel too. I did it for about a month and then I was just like you know what there’s too many other avenues to put up with this. it really bothered me but it’s been about another month since I’ve been just at Silver and really don’t notice much of a difference except for the dash now which isn’t a big deal but I got so many low orders platinum I was literally losing it wasn’t worth it
The Dasher has no rights according doordash you got no rights

i feel like we shouldn't be expected to do any shopping. i do them all the time, but there should really just be a store employee doing all the shopping
just turn off the shop and pay orders under the door dash settings ! then at least you wont have to mess with them. The app will actually prioritize the regular food orders because it knows you don't have shop and pay orders turned on. just try it. just trust me.
I was surprised that after dropping to 69%, your next accepted order put you back at 70. In my experience it often takes 2 OR MORE orders just to gain back that 1%. When I question this, all I get is “it’s a cumulative % based on the 100 most recent orders”. Ugh!
In other words, your AR rises very slowly but drops at the speed of light.
So when I get down to 75 AR, I’m very careful about decining the next few. They’ve gotta be real turds in order for me to decline them.
hey Mike we also have 2 Primanti Bros. locations sine 1980s ,here in Fort Lauderdale!! One is on the beach on Sunrise Blvd. and it's open almost 24 hours a day. Sometimes they close for deliveries for an hour or two.
I noticed every time I get to gold/plat status. I am swamped with shop and pay orders.. But it is crazy.. A 20 item shop for 5.75 for 2 miles considered a high paying order is bullshit.

My Dollar General is terrible! They are out of almost all requested items and it takes forever to substitute if available.
Same here, I decline them all unless its for max 2 items, and then it needs to be 2 bucks for every mile.
I never take Dollar General anymore either. The store is usually a mess and substitutions take over. It's an automatic decline for me 99% of the time now.
I blacklisted mine and then 'lost' my red card 😂
Where do I find information about the platinum and the gold features
I worked hard to get percentage up..I get good offers and a few low ones. It all balances out. Have to take good with the bad. I am still making over 200 each shift and staying above 90%
Hi Mike . It really depends on the time that you drive .. other than prime time lunch or dinner on weekends .. everything else is the same... Apprec u teaching us dollars to miles efficiency.. been using it .. I would rather do 3 or 4 10+ under low mileage .. or a shop and deliver usually pays more in my experience

Me too. I live in San Antonio and 5 miles could take 20 minutes 😂. I drive a Tahoe, too, so it HAS to make sense. I'm in this Tahoe until I can afford a smaller car and park my truck 😂
I've been somewhere between 54 and 60 percent for about a week and I'm not worried right now if I get to gold or platinum.
Since I don't have a catering bag I'm guessing the only advantage to being platinum would be dash now always available so I could switch zones if an order took me out of mine.
I did solely plat dasher for about two months and the way I see it is to just multi-app and reject the garbage offers, and dont worry about acceptance rate. The truth is good paying offers arent available all the time. So even if you are gold, plat, silver or whatever theyll send you more offers regularly to keep you busy BUT when a GOOD order does become available its not like theyre going to save it for you if youre already on a delivery just because you have the highest acceptance rate of the drivers out right then, theyre going to send it to anyone whos immidiately available (yes with the highest AR). So if all the try hards are out taking bad orders for the sake of their AR theyll send you the good order regardless of your AR because youre available.

I have a hint for you about dropping down to 69% if you deny. So what you do is accept and then mark the order “I cannot deliver” and your completion rate may drop to anything above 95% your good and you will be at 70%!!!!!
They gave me the same decline 3 times in a row. Dash support told me it was different orders is why it affected my acceptance rate. The order was the same location, same mileage, same drop off, same pay out, it was the same order. They refused to fix that for me and acted like I didn't know what I was doing, like I hadn't completed near 50 orders the week or two prior
You literally worked the dead hours leading up to the dinner rush and after the lunch rush. Of course the orders aren’t going to be great or high payout. We all know that

Has anybody thought about the factor that some days are slower than others and my market there are days where it's not worth it and then there are days where you don't want to leave the road
For my area, Gold is Good after 5pm to 9 pm. Plus my bordering state is 1 hr behind so I’m am able to do 10. (Now I dash on the time of my choice) I personally get a lot of pizza and dollar general orders. Acceptances rate is at 99%. Every place is just different.
Go for platinum and get the catering bag. Maybe that’ll make a difference 🤷♂️

I never decline any orders I'm on Platinum... I work from 6an to 9am go back out at noon to 230 ... go out at at 4pm to 6pm make 150.00 a day I have 100 % acceptance 100% deliveries
How much of this is DD sending crap offers versus DD users just not tipping well?
I'm in Ohio, been dashing off and on (full time) for two years. We don't have the tiered levels, with my AR above 70% I'm trying out the high paying offers. It literally doesn't take milage/time into account. Like a $30, 20 mile shopping order for 44 items. That's taking 1.5 hours, taking me two towns over, etc. just trash.
I lost it when you instantly went back to silver. 😂
Imagine feeling pressure using dd. Just stay below 20% and you'll get just as good orders
In my honest opinion you have to be platinum to actually make more money because when I go under platinum I start getting orders that are technically good but not great. On Sunday I had to do a whole day making it back to 70% acceptance but by the time I got it the 4 orders in platinum were more than I made all day leading up to it. I also tend to stay near more restaurants and less grocery stores if you can do that (everywhere is different) but if you can stay near more middle tear and upper tear restaurants and places like wine and more for alcohol deliveries that’s when I start seeing orders in the $15-40 range on average.
Again, if you’re chasing a high AR, and you’re NOT on earn by time…you deserve all those shop and delivers
Here in Michigan we don’t have that here 🤦 it’s probably coming soon but we don’t have the gold status or anything yet
we had the first market this program was in over a year ago.
Not really an independent contractor anymore are we? It’s more like “ You will take the orders we give you or we’ll make sure you don’t work”.

Man i remember doing a 100+ in 4 hours no shop and delivers at all what has happened to doordash
really depends on the market, i usual avg 17.5-23hr, i typically start my shifts at 7 am and go until i make 150-$200, i also just bought a tesla model 3 long long range to not have to pay for gas, so i usually spend 6-$12 at the start of my shift to charge
If you're spending that much to charge, u might as well get a high mpg gas car or a hybrid instead. I have a Ford fusion hybrid & spend apx $12 for 8 hr work day. And my car is 11 years old & only cost $8000 lol
If you're not making a minimum of $30/hr delivering, it's really not worth it.

@@sallysanders8349 that’s to supercharge, if i charge overnight in my garage it would only be 20-50 ontop of my monthly power bill, but i also like the features it has so i also use it as my daily, my weekend car tho is a lexus rcf and it eats gas but i love the sound😭

My acceptance rating has been 70% or higher (gold status) most of the time, I dropped to 69% one time after declining a couple that made no sense with the gas I’d be paying and it took me a total of 7 yes 7 small $3-$4 paying orders to bring it back to 70% it’s ridiculous I swear they send these on purpose to drop you to the next teer & you still have to accept low paying orders no matter what! So I just accept every order I get when I’m hanging around the 70/71% acceptance area!

I've never gone to a different location other than the assigned one for the shop. I feel like that would mess up the on time/early or something with their tracking. I can't recommend that

With the pay I get in CA I go for everything and I get my prop22 adjustment of over $200 weekly witch is equal to another workday.
You only make $200/ day delivering in California? A bad day for me delivering for an actual restaurant is $300.
@@phantomlostable That is the pay adjustment I get from prop22 not my daily pay. If you are delivering for a restaurant and not doordash there is no comparison.
I like at least $2+ a mile, plus at least a few bucks for my effort per order. Like, I wouldn’t take a $4 McDons order to go a mile or two. That would have to be a minimum of $6-7, and I’d maybe even decline and wait for a better offer.
I don't like the fact that you have to do so many little orders per hour. Yes, they are great base on pay to miles ratio but I rather cherry pick two-three trips a hour and get paid the same vs doing 5 small trips per hour to earn the same.
And they don't raise it if you accept trips
Try doing dash orders in my area and make $50 for the day, from 8:00 am to 1:30 pm, you'd be lucky to get the dollar amount I mentioned for the day...
I think dashers should stop fighting for good pay and no tip no trip and fight against red card orders. I signed up to deliver food. Deliver stuff that is prepared for me. Not shop for someone's crap. I want you to use a timer. Time how long it takes from pick up to arrive at store. Pick up items. Pay for them. then drop them off.
Truth is red card orders are given to dashers who decline a lot to keep them busy. That's why if you turn on Ebt, you will get no red card orders or very few. Doordash knows it takes time to do them and have to pay more.
They expect us to pay for our deliveries, it's asinine to do a 12 MI delivery for $12 or less stupid we get punished

Dude, Doordash will send me an order to drive 12 miles for $10 then when I've declined turn around and send it to me again only offering $8 . I'm like what the heck is wrong with the system?! If I didn't take it for $10 I'm definitely not gonna take it for even less at $8 🤔🙄🤬

To be honest I’m at about 25%, and really don’t ever get to 50%, but I make 800.00 a week only about 38 hours. I’ve been at Gold and it made no difference. To be honest those are the suckers DD uses to take crappy orders

doordash orders sometimes feel like that scene from fast and furious 2 where the dudes race to deliver a freaking cigar to a rich dude -_-' sometimes u kills urself to deliver a freaking can of dr pepper 10 miles away while the customer has a 7 eleven across the street xD

It’s just a worse system for drivers - they want every order picked up and they will continue to roll out anything that makes that more likely. You now need 80% for gold/platinum and 97completion rate in some markets. The orders are not changing/getting better - just the DoorDash con is evolving
