The term live-in in the Philippines has a connotation implying magkarelasyon, magjowa. But having a roommate is very very common in the United States with no malice and no other meaning other than just that, a roommate. Dito sa pinas ganyan ang pag iisip ng mga tao puro malisya, makita mo lang na mag kasama sa bahay malaman lang na Bi yung isa tapos isa straight then mag kasama pag iisipan ng ganyan. Normal lang yan sa tao kung super close na sila pero di ibig sabihin mag karelasyon kayo.

True! I'm a guy and I have a friend in highschool whom I call wife. And we're always together with a group of friends pero we are just closer that way. We basically wait for each other during lunch and now kami na. Joke lng. Til now were really good friends but of course we dropped na our endearment coz she's married.
