- Sethan is about 1 hr away from Manali.
Only private vehicles are allowed to reach this village. So you need to get your booking done through someone who lives in the village. I remember when we reached, the local taxis in Manali were asking us where we wanted to go & when we said Sethan they had no clue at all about where this is.
Speaking of locals, Sethan is inhabited by a Buddhist community and who are immigrants from Spiti Valley in Himachal Pradesh and the adjoining areas of Tibet.
From Sethan, one can see the towering Dhauladhar ranges surrounding the village - and the river Beas dividing the towering Dhauladhar with the beautiful Pur Panjal, perhaps a few thousand feet down.
Things to do - Camping, trekking, hiking and exploring the village, snowboarding, snow tubing, igloos stay experience
