Thank you. I am new to bee keeping. I have waxed frames and I still ran into this issues. I had a little bit too much space between my frames and this happened. Going down to repair later today. I’m terrified. Luckily in this have the queen is marked. She is not in my second hive. I think I am going to have to lose the gloves. It makes it more difficult. Sounds like you like in the middle of nowhere like me. I drove 45 minutes just to get some rubber bands. The things we do. Lol!!!! 💛💛💛💛

I noticed that most beekeepers use a wax foundation but you are not. Any reason you're not using it?

They don’t “need” it. I like to try to do things in the most natural way possible and I don’t really like and plastic being in the hive. I know, you said wax so I’m going to respond to what I think you are talking about. People put wax on plastic frames so that the bees have an easier time building in them.

There such a thing as wax foundation, not everyone uses plastic foundation. I use ⅓ wax in my brood frames and full wax in the supers. I try not to use too much plastic anything!
