Thanks !! The service advisor at the dealership told me the 2012 E350 bluetooth connection to the iphone was not possible because the systems were incompatible. Nine years without bluetooh ..... having to connect the audio jack to the iphone .... Sucks ... but glad I came across your video. Thanks again !

I have had 2 E350 s from 2010 2012 and currently still drive one of them and I've always been disgruntled because I wasn't able to do this in the car but other cars no problem. Where were you then when I needed you. I'm happy 10 years later genius thank you. And by the way this same process works for a android.
5 years later and this video helped me, thank you! The dealer said that the bluetooth was only for answering calls, but I could tell by Spotify telling me that it was connected to bluetooth that the car would play it and voila, it does!
***FOR ANYONE GETTING STUCK**** If BT Audio still isn't appearing after going into engineering mode (which happened to me TODAY!) You have to delete/unpair ALL CONNECTED PHONES FROM YOUR CAR. Then go back to audio, BT Audio will now be there. Continue with the steps and boom. This worked for me today, five minutes ago 2/2/24. Still having troube? Tuen the car off then back on. Still stuck? Reset the unit like other posts says. Dont be scared. It works. YOU'RE WELCOME!!🎉🎉🎉

Hey! Did you solve the issue? I do have the same problem here. I don't have any audio button. My menu is quite different as in the video. I only have the options of the cds, aux, media interface and radio. Even when I turned on the Bluetooth audio in the engineer mode menu it didn't show up. Any suggestions?
Oh wow, so helpful! Local dealer service ignored my complaint about BT Audio not working. I guess they either tried the phone and it worked or just thought I was an idiot. Followed these instructions precisely, found BT Audio turned off and fixed it. Saved me another trip to the dealer.

@@fredd5372 yes. Do all he says for the bluetooth switch, and if the option doesn't come on, totally switch off the car and go on with your business. Give it like a few hours, if necessary, up to 24 hours. When you go back to the music options, it would come on
Thanks for the video. Like many people, I didn't even know playing your music via Bluetooth was an option. I turned on the Bluetooth in diagnostic mode and DID NOT detach/reattach my phone. It worked just fine. If you're already pared, you can just turn on Bluetooth and it will work. Thanks again!

Like some others have said I had to do a system reset but then it became available and it works well the first couple times I played music via Bluetooth it had hesitations but if I stopped it and let it by for a bit it’s seem to play very well sounds great

I’ve notice the past several months that the blue tooth function, in connection with my Apple iPhone, starts to cut in & out with the music playing (I play music from my iPhone) and sounds like the vinyl albums from yesteryear when the needle would get stuck on the album or skip ahead on the album. The car came equipped with the Harmon-Kardon stereo & sound system. Do you know of any function or way to resolve this annoying interruption of music when playing? Radio stations are perfect, CDs play perfect. Just the blue tooth & music is constantly cutting in & out. Any tips or advice is greatly appreciated.

Yes, but its slightly different buttons and instead of the scroll wheel the buttons next to the screen are used.

If it’s choppy you probably have a Garmin Dash camera… just unplug it to see if fixes the problem.
