Why does the chaisaw never seem to get jammed? Its not like they rest the part thats being cut off on something... so towards the end surely it ould get jammed?
Somebody should understand there are many woods that people plant only to harvest timbers. Not every tree/wood is primeval. This machine is nice, we'll try to produce one in our country since import this kind of machine is hell out of cost.
I could watch this thing all day. My cousin has 20 acres that was used for logging in the past. He has tons of douglas fir that this thing could gobble up. Are there harvesters that do very thick trees too?
sharpening 2-3 times a day or change the whole chain to sharpen it in the workshop. you should always have a lot of chains and bars with you. ;-) the right oil to grease the chain while cutting is also important.
You keep a bunch of chains with you so you can change them if needed. Could go without chaning a chain to changing chain 5 times a day if there's rocks, sand etc
Finland... so much forest that we need to engineer machines to harvest them asap :) Really hope this was shot behind a blast shield, its not for a joke that the windows in ponsse are bullet proof. One old cow fence peace of metal stuck in at tree and you have bullets flying when the chain hits it...
We're looking at a bear, we need an h8 for what we do, right now were running a logmax 7000 on a fabtek 663, i like the slide boom, seems to have good reach, do yoy ever run into issues with the hydraulic lines in the boom?
WeekendGamingNerds Well if it's "tree farm" then there's no problem there... It's man grown designed to be chopped down and causes no problems to the environment.
Blade seems dull. I see most cut way faster than this. Machine looks strong. Not sure on how experienced the operator(s) is, 10:30 definitely wasn't good.
It's crazy how bad these things are for the forest floor. They may be faster and more efficient in the short term. But this is neither financially nor ecologically sustainable.
There are plant and fungi species, and consequently insect species, that only get a chance if the forest floor is disturbed. In a hypothetical virgin envinronment there would be all kinds of boars and other animals that would dig and mess with the ground.
Just the time to replant them takes considerably longer than the time it took to cut, smooth and slice up that tree. Not even counting the DECADES trees need to grow to that height.

Whoever operates this machine is pretty damn good . And this machine is a is a great all rounder. Sure would like to have a go. Amazing , thumbs up.

The best machine ever! I can watch it work for hours.

Me too but then we'd run out of forests

Finnish engineering, also John Deere harvesters are mostly made in Finland. You should also see Ponsse Scorpion King in action

I couldn't take my eyes off the computer screen when I saw this video, it was so captivating to me.🥰
This video is exactly what I needed, thank you so much

Danke ;)
A few months ago I watched this machine in action, impressive!

Next to the Menzi Muck, this is one fantastic piece of engineering. Probably replaces a 20 or more Lumber Jacks with Chainsaws.
Who designed this, it's a genius ! I don't get if the man is so precise or the machine is so easy to use
TLC the operator is quite good but the machine also measures the lenths automatically, depending on what the operator wants
Great movie, congratulates such a large audience.
thank you!

This model seems to be more efficient than others of other brands but proved to be a bit more "sensitive". Is it better than the Komatsu 931?
This is so satisfying to watch
Fascinnating work ..Amazing machine , very interesting to watch !
My grandpa owned a sawmill in west Virginia. He passed back in the early 80's. He would have crapped pink twinkies if he saw this.. lol
diese erntemaschine ist der hammer!!
die Arbeit wird einfacher und schneller
Look at the grass growing under the forest haha! Looks like some well growing land.
Awesome machine and nice logs!

What's the price of one of those? I have a tree in my backyard that need to go.

The Hook not too bad.... i was thinking....hum... 1-2 Millions xD

I don't understand how the chainsaw blade can stay so sharp.Do you know how it works??
sharpening 2-3 times a day or change the whole chain to sharpen it in the workshop. you should always have a lot of chains and bars with you. ;-)
the right oil to grease the chain while cutting is also important.
Probably a carbide tipped chain!

Thay should replant where Thay cut down replace tree.remember furtcher.
How often do you sharpen the chain on the blade? Must be a daily thing ?
You keep a bunch of chains with you so you can change them if needed. Could go without chaning a chain to changing chain 5 times a day if there's rocks, sand etc

I remember reading from the ponsse manual that the windows do the most of the cockpits structural integrity.
Dig up old stumps re plant new trees.
amazing, it's super cutting machine, where made ?
Finland
thanks reply!
This video would be very difficult to copy in Australia as the camera operator would find it hard to see the machine due to blackberry vines.
What a nice forrest !! wow
WOW ,😉
How often musst you sharfen the chain of thar chainsaw?
Walzt den ganzen Boden fest - warum keine Rückegassen?
Amazing engineering

this is a tree farm, and they plant tree every time they cut. this is much better than mining because its renewable.

Behold! The power of an imaginary country.
Damn, I'm surprised that there isn't more environmentalist hate on this video lol. Amazing machine.
It's a managed forest grown for timber, so no environmental problems to report here.
CubeRepublic I completely agree but you know how some people can be when it comes to these things. No compromise.
WeekendGamingNerds Well if it's "tree farm" then there's no problem there... It's man grown designed to be chopped down and causes no problems to the environment.

The operator uses not long harvester, he was a forwarder operator.
