This school screwed me so bad in my 20's. I've warned everyone who will listen not to attend. I had relatives determined to send their child to this school. I begged them not to do it. Sent them newspaper articles condemning The Art Institutes for being a scam. My relatives still sent their child to that school. Sadly, the child didn't last a semester. My heart hurt for their kid. No one pursues an art education unless they have the artist urge. This school will surely poison any artist urge left. It took me years to recover from them. I hope their kid recovers.

Agreed, this is such a terrible situation.
As of September 2023, all of the Art Institutes have shut down. I worked at Ai for five years, and we all saw the writing on the wall.

Oof, my brother went here and I knew others that went here too. Yikes, that’s crazy man. I remember I had an interview at one of these “colleges” I think it was ITT Tech, and my potential boss told me I had to sign on a person like every week. EVERY WEEK. Or I’d get written up. I was shook. That was my first exposure to this wheel of hell. Man I was like wtf. The guy told me, “yeah we’re trying to sell this to people who aren’t “college material”. I felt so bad and sad. Obviously never worked there but was surprised how it was considered “totally legit”.
Wow, that is crazy looking back there were a lot of signs but at the time the school seemed so supportive and welcoming. Guess that was just a really good sales pitch lol
