- This elegant modern classic is pretty unique: a weekender built to ocean going standards that can be sailed shorthanded - as Toby Hodges found out during early sail trials in Bodrum, Turkey

Toby, you are living the life. My god, what I’d give just to go for a weekend on that boat. Wow. So unbelievably beautiful. Lucky you mate!
😊
Oh my it's so beautiful. So light and airy inside.
I was looking forward to your review of this boat. They are beautiful boats! This review was even more thorough than usual. Thank you.
Thank you Ken!
Beautiful boat, clean lines and craftsmanship. Thank you for your review.
Elegant and extremely well built... Wonderful boat.
What a beautiful, yet traditional looking Sailboat.. ⛵️
Man, I am absolutely madly in love with that boat! Holy smokes, is she beautiful. And she looks like she just scoots right trough the water. GORGEOUS!
You are in Bodrum! Please tell us you reviewed a Kraken while you were there!
This video looks like a good step up in quality. Well done Yachting World.
Excellent review, great to see how well the lockers are finished. I have heard from my cloggy friends there are two places in the world to build modern wooden yachts. The UK and Turkey are the places to go. This yacht looks really great.
Look at Hallberg&Rassy from Sweden - amazing beautiful boats made for tough weather conditions
Yes but not wooden!
Omg, she is the dream. A proper Bristol Pilot "Cutter" with a modern sloop rig. She is a planet shrinker and a life changer.
/ I think I'd prefer the traditional sea-kindly hull shape with full shallow keel. I'd still get there. Perhaps not as soon, but feeling chipper and secure all the way. / unless the rig is too powerful for that - but I don't imagine it would be... whose got a slide rule?
Just a comment to help the algo, so.......Toby's rockin' a mullet these days.
😉
Like the tailored stern. Not cut off like so many other new boats.
I can fully respect someone tailoring the craft to their specifications even if it's not conventional or makes use of the space in the most efficient way. In fact it's not much unlike how I would have my boat if I was ordering a bespoke one, save for the taller cabin height.
Such a shame for the owners, truly tragic, I hope the boat goes to someone who will honor it
Well done dude, you made my day
... I really enjoyed this one beautiful yacht ⛵
Good stuff, thanks Kerry!
Lovely craftsmanship..and style. As a taller person i would be in difficulty but appreciate the⛵ aesthetics.😎
So much light inside, nice.
What a beautiful yacht
Oh what a lovely sailboat.
Nice Review. Can see why someone wanted that, and would have loved it. As you say, really Sad they didn't live to see it completed. Not my type of Boat at all though, but we'll enough built to have me looking at PC yachts potential Custom options for a personal Cruiser Cruiser Build (Not a Racer Cruiser or Cruiser Racer, too many already around totally messing up Cruisers imho). Thanks again. Bob. 👍
Very, very nice boat (reminds me a little bit of Spirit) and what a beautiful review. Well done.
Thank you Robert
Toby if you need someone to carry your luggage during your test boats I am your man ! 🤣
What a beautiful boat!🙏👏👍🇸🇪
The helm positions are in great need of improvements. Boarding form stern is also a necessary compromise. Other than that, is a beautiful 47' with the space of a 34' weekender.
Very nice; on deck, and below. The design too is smart; avoiding horrid long hull overhangs. The mix of white panels and wood below is so classic and pleasant.
good very detailed coverage and easy to listen to
Glad you liked it, thanks
It's a beautiful yacht, very sad about the owners.
Chocolate Teapot springs to mind.
Aesthetically pretty though👍🍫
Great review and what a beautiful yacht! Enjoy Bodrum : )
Amazimg yacht
awesome Bodrum.
Nice video
To je znamení! Na jachtu si vydělám jedině v Schenkeru :D
Nice video, At 6' 4 I am not a buyer no matter how nice the lines are. Appreciate your work?
I’ve never seen a interior like that, very nice and refreshing space. That’s a sad story ,they built a beautiful boat .
Rarely hear of both passing. So sad they never got to enjoy this treasure.
The sea is calling me. I don’t know what it is but I have to urge to sale everything and search the oceans forever
Me too
Fabulous as always, Toby! An American s/y in Turkey? I love it.
Nice lines. Good to see that not everyone is making floating bricks. Looks to be a bit of a wolf in sheep's clothing.
Absolutely great review and a beautiful vessel. I'm sure the new owners will be very proud to sail on her. ⛵️
Glad you enjoyed it thank you
No, musím do toho Schenkeru! Za Prahu do skladu... Ve volným čase za volant kamionu a koupím jachtu a Dodge :D
V příštím životě :D
He, hlídáte někdo, jestli si bere ty prášky a nebo na to zase serete?! :D
What a beauty 😍
How much more or less?
Is that a mullet?
No mention of the hull, could be a bilge keeler for all we know?
Classsic finaly...beautiful to see but only for the week end or to show to the friends...not relly made for living one week or more inside!! Made for one couple who goes to the restaurant and sail only in the day...perfect to flirt too...!
any drawings ? want to build as rc model
Pilot cutter type ? Look at a true pilot cutter replica from 2012 Elley Grey and the best thing under the after deck on Elley a full jaccuzi !
Is it for sale?
It was bought the next day!
Lovely looking yacht , beautifully finished , Bet she goes like stink in a good breeze. Have to say though she is no more a pilot cutter than My old Citroen 2CV.
Serious “Yachting!”
Beautiful boat - since it is built to ocean standards and has lots of space available, you could add a generator, freezer and watermaker to make it an ocean going vessel. It is sad to hear about the owners. Life has a funny way of creeping up on you.
pleasant little boat. i can see it being hard sell at it’s price point considering more modern designs with more headroom in the accommodation, tho it really is a pretty boat.
Actually when you compare it to other modern classics, especially weekender types such as Eagle and Spirit Yachts, it's actually a fair chunk roomier and more economic! But yes, still a lot of dollars
I would be too tall for it full stop - and the lack of bimini to get out of the direct sunlight - physically painful.
But it's a quality piece of functional art and craftsmanship
Certainly a perfect sunny, Sunday afternoon, sailing vessel. Meant to sail on calm, flat inland waterways, while being safely secured during any kind of a blow. And if the weather doesn't permit wearing short-sleeves and shorts but foul weather gear, you just stay home. "A fine gentleman's yacht, for aristocratic gentlemen, "
Who is selling this sailboat

How tall is Tobie?
I'm 5ft 10in!
Really sad the owners didn't have a chance to enjoy it.
I love the looks but the boat doens't seem well thought out to be honest... that anchro chain just gliding over the teak deck, I can't imagine that teak staying nice for long...
47-footer on the outside, 33-footer on the inside...
Going into yacht sales ay Tobes? looks like you want the top end for good commissions. Superb yacht made for one owner's unique indulgence.
Looks really smal inside.
an incredible looking boat -but you are going to eat alot of ocean
looks amazing ,but i dont know how people can sail without a roof obove their heads .. its like having constant sunburns ..
Ever heard of clothes? I sail in long-sleeved shirts and a wide-brimmed hat.
@@mytube001 yes of course ... but its not he same
Yankee flagged!?! Why?
Tax-dodging purposes most likely. There is this place called Delaware in US which is rumored to have been set up for the sole purpose of tax dodging... 🙂
Well I do not like that boat much at all . Still somebody will like it and buy it . Sad the people who ordered the boat died.
Island packet 439
That's a very beautiful, very poorly designed sailboat. Looks good tied to the dock, but ownership would be a nightmare. Nothing is accessable, everything is cheaply done, no storage, no headroom, no sleeping space, can't even use the head without hitting yours. There's 30ft sailboats with more room.
Did you notice him saying that it was custom built for a customer as a day sailor.
Does PC stand for politically correct yachts?
What triggered you?
@@donaldvanvliet9039 LOL, good one. 👍
Useless design, waste of space, too small water tank and black water tank etc. quite a fail. Nice looking fail! Day-sailers are boring and useless!
Perfect for people in the 5',8" range.
