I'll say this. The zone design, raid design, and music is the best thing in EVERY new expansion. The art and music team are on a whole different level than the rest of blizzard and never cease to amaze us with spectacular views and wonderful music.
@Randall Kildare I understand but the zones overall design is still astonishing, while blizzard failed to have us gravitate towards it the art team really just keeps getting better and better, hell even WoD with all its horrible features still had incredible zones and music. Cause no matter how good or bad the next expansion will be you can always (ALWAYS) count on the art and music team to give it 110%
"Jaina and Queen Azshara proving there is a METHOD to Blizzard's Raid design" "Uu'nat in the Crucible of Storms shattered everyone's expectations for a two boss raid into PIECES" "With a little more COMPLEXITY from the Mythic Only phase, Blizzard seems to have put a LIMIT on their usual creativity" Fucking nice
To be honest, the soundtrack was absolutly gorgeous. Blizzard keeps delivering amazing themes, melodies and ambient tracks. This is one of the few very positive points of BfA.
This is going to sound kinda weird, but my favorite part of the expansion came at the very end when my Void Elf Hunter finally was able to get his hands on a plethora of void themed pets to tame. He ended up going with Sabuul, the purple panthara from Mac'aree that keeps its Void aura when its tamed, and I couldn't be happier with it. I do admit to being a very visual/aesthetic centered player. I know not everyone is, but having a Void Elf Hunter with a Void cat to match was weirdly important to me.
The ambiance was outstanding. From the tavern music in Boralus to the majesty of Dazar'alor (let's not talk about navigating it though). The music, the natural sounds, and the visuals all meshed really well in the new zones, so to everyone at Blizzard who had a hand in any of those, kudos to you.
For me the BFA feature I enjoyed most was war mode. I traditionally always played on a PVE realm and it took me a long time to try war mode but when I finally did I had a utter blast. When assaults first came out it felt like each zone was a true battlefield and I had a blast grouping up with some friends to do the assault and fight for control at each quest location.
My favourite part of BfA was that I always had a reason to log in. Yes, the grinds were pretty monotonous and the rewards were often uninteresting, but at least I had something to work towards, and with m+ existing, I never felt bored or like I was paying for nothing really, unlike in expansions prior to Legion where if you had cleared the raid, you had nothing to do until the next thing released.
The zones are the best part of BfA, especially Kultiras for me. Visual, music and local lore are amazing. Battle of dazar'alor by far is the best BfA raid, with iconic and unique fights, and also because it brought something innovative: 2 different point os view for each faction that in fact change the raid. And as as said in other video comments, Mechagon is the best dungeon experience i had since started to play.
The kua’fon pterodax questline, I loved doing those dailies, and the little guy gut flying in 8.2 and I just loved him even more, special place in my heart for sure.
as a PVPer, i did very much enjoy the aspect of choosing the correct essence for each arena battle, plus the correct trinkets to use, as this was a new feature coming from legion where stats were templates for everyone. for us. I enjoyed having more agency and hope that continues into shadowlands, however i hope for more opportunities for balance patches
Thats the reason I dont take most wow fans opinions seriously. Negative aspects are justified, yet many refuse to point out the positives. So it really devalues their opinion as a whole. I 100% agree with the raids. Even if you include the bad bosses, its been a blast for the most part.

In Mechagon, I think it is neat that you can try out the jet pack and the different weapons. Mechagon seems to encourage working together with other random players more than other zones which as a loner, I enjoyed. In Nazjatar, I love having a partner to explore with. Love the music and ambient sounds.
As a Horde player, who's never played Aliance before, I created a Mage on the Ravencrest server just so I could experience the zones from an Aliance perspective, Drustvar, Tiragarde Sound and Stormsong Valley are waaaaay up there in terms of zone design, Nazmir was also amazing, so a big shoutout to the zone design ans art teams at Blizzard, you really are keeping the game fresh! There's no point of having fun content if you're doing it in a boring zone where it seems like you've been there before 20 times already ( main problem with desert zones for me atleast, always feels like you've "been there and done that")

Don't forget War Mode was added in BfA and it is such a good feature. Yes, there are the problems with the Call To Arms rewards, the buff being asymmetric and all of that but opting into PvP when you feel like fighting for your life with the real feel of contested zones and opting out when you just want smooth sailing is pretty cool. Also PvP talents are way better in BfA than what they were in Legion, imo.
My favorite part of BFA was when I cancelled my subscription. Felt like going sober for the first time in ages. Catching up with people I stopped talking to and putting more time into my hobbies. Thanks Blizzard
The Mythic +10 affixes is really nice how we get new onces every season. The special items in BFA has Been really nice aswell like the Diver’s Folly, Seabreeze, Mechagon rings and so on
I feel like everything bad about the initial phases of BFA (main thing was getting higher level Azerite armor when you neck didn't have a high enough level to get the extra traits) was addressed in 8.1. I wish essences were easier to get on alts, and maybe warfronts should have had a PvP option. Other than that, as a raider, this was a really good expansion to play.
I really don´t feel the same with you category "play style" I think the Azerite system brought not much changes to terms of gameplay for a lot of classes. Every azerite trait was a passive ability and most of them where just buffing a ability which probably was in your rotation anyways e.g. Festermight, magus of the dead, primal insticts, dance of death, natural harmony, igneous potential, cascarding calamity, wrecking brilliance, brigands blitz, ace ou your sleeve, endless hunger, undulating tides etc. etc. etc. i think you guys will get my point. Also the CD change which came in BfA really felt super off for some classes, for example frost DK and fury warrior. However i strongly agree with some "different builds" you can make, the glimmer paladin was a great exemple here and the Heal traits for more DPS increase if needed.

For me as alliance I loved the zones and the music was great, I also really enjoy how this expansion is really good for solo players I feel live I've got to experience most of the game by my self, I've enjoyed the mythic dungeons as well, my biggest hate is the essenses grind , it completely kills alts I just don't understand why blizzard is being so stubborn about it,
Aside from alts being so difficult to keep/play, I've really enjoyed this expansion /shrug. Always shit to do when I log in, from pvp, to daily's, m+, weekly islands (which aren't as bad as everyone makes them out to be), etc. My guild completed AOTC a couple weekends ago and we got our first taste of mythic Ny'alotha this week. Can't wait to see how far we get before the inevitable burn out. Good expansion in my opinion though.
Man, I feel like I disagree with half the things on this list. I did not like the majority of zone design this expansion. I'm personally not affected by the World First Race at all so this isn't even a thing for me. A lot of the mounts I didn't really care for, they again added so many of them that it doesn't feel like getting a mount is exciting or unique anymore. They rarely represent anything to me like getting my Zulian Tiger or my Magic Rooster do. The new races were exciting, if only I didn't have every single class at max level already, and had long before they added the additional new races and I'm definitely not going to pay real money to do race changes. The cinematics again weren't very important to me. I'm deaf in one ear so I play with game sound off so I can better hear people in Discord. Having in game sound with Discord becomes overwhelming and I struggle to separate sounds. Maybe that's just me as a person, or maybe it's because of my partial deafness. Blizzard never gives you any sort of warning that there will be a cinematic playing, nor do they give you any option to enable the sound prior to the cinematic starting. Maybe there's an in game setting that I'm missing that lets me still have cinematic sounds? Shell Game was a god send in a land of awful turtle quests that would literally deter me from doing the turtle emissary. Beachhead and Cycle of Life WQs were some of the most annoying, boring and long winded quests Blizzard has ever added. Beachhead on some days literally just felt impossible. You'd be spamming at a seagull and the spell would explode on the seagull and it would just refuse to die. The Cycle of Life had a similar issue where you could get out of the AoE up to 5 seconds in advance and still get hit by the spell. Neither of these quests were difficult, they just overall felt bad to do. Freehold was a great dungeon, for the most part, except in high tyrannical keys with Eudora, which was literally 2/3 of the time. I keep finding that the majority of difficulty from M+ isn't from the mechanics itself, so much as repeated RNG of potentially unavoidable mechanics towards any single person until they run out of defensives and have nothing left they can do to stop they're oncoming demise. Auction house was great, if not a buggy disaster to begin with Play Styles I feel like I didn't really play any specs where this really impacted me in any way but there were arguably mathematically best ways to play the game and you were frequently frowned upon for not playing that way, even if you could keep up or outperform others playing the "ideal" way. Raids could go either way, although I've got to say Nyalotha is just an okay raid. I like most of the bosses and I think they have good unique challenges for the most part, certain things were tedious and I personally think they could do without.
Personally think the play style changes were nice, as in essences are honestly awesome, although farming them on alts is awful. As well I think pvp talents are interesting, I just think warfronts and islands should have had them too since you can use them in open world pve that isnt even faction based like most world quests. But the play style changes did make it feel like losing our legendaries wasn't such a big hit. So I think chance for a less aoe based class, getting the focusing iris as back up to help aoe, was a HUGE play and honestly my favorite part.
The best thing by far is playing with high corruption. The most fun I've had in BFA is raiding with 50-59 corrupt. Yea, rng aquisition sucks, rng damage procs that make 20-30% of your damage aren't skill based, but negative corruption effects like eye pools, Thing From Beyond and slow are fun to play around, and it makes you re-evaluate other talents or managing your abilities that were previously collecting dust in your spell book. The previously boring tank and spank bosses are now making you play very focused and thinking of what is not on CD so I can avoid next Thing attack, etc. Not every player can play with high corruption, and it makes it a choice if you want to do that, to get a direct dps benefit. I love having that choice. So if they made other aspects of corruption better (better aquisition and not random procs that aren't tied to your skill), then it would be a perfect system. Also Horrific Visions are fun to solo. Good idea, and they took already existing thing like Orgrimmar and Stormind and just added to it some mobs and mechanics. Not a lot of time spent making it from scratch, but still feels new and fresh. Probably because they were busy being behind in schedule making Shadowlands, but still.
talking about glimmer "alternative playstyle" you mean playing with 3x world quest azerites on heroic because they had glimmer and nothing else mattered and it could only be replaced with higher ilvl azerite with glimmer
There were some really fucking good stories told about the characters of world of Warcraft. Great characters this expansion: - Saurfang - Thrall - Jaina - Anduin - Tyrande - Bwonsamedi - Griz and Saffy - Baine People like to rag on the story, and yeah the over arching story got muddy trying to split the story in two between the Alliance and Horde did not pay off in the end. But the Alliance side Jaina quest is the greatest story told in WoW since... Maybe ever??? Idk it’s hard to think of a story that hit harder and felt like a clear expansion of a character we’ve known for about 20 years.
Honestly I kinda like Horrific Visions, 5 masks make the runs super interesting and you gotta think about how you're tackling it with the weekly affixes \o/
I agree, but it's very short lived, just like Mage Tower. When you beat it early on, it's good little challenge for yourself, makes you min-max the run and just fun. But just after that when you outgear it and more and more, finish it easier every time, it becomes obsolete. And at some point it's nerfed so much, even the casual players can do it no problem. I loved Mage Tower btw, hope they introduce more challenging solo content like Tower and Visions.
There are a few bad things about bfa: - lack of pvp balance and pvp rewards - disastrous additional systems which shadowed classes’ uniqueness - corruption and essences - idiotic islands expeditions - clumsy storyline Other than that bfa was good
I mostly agree with every single points, but I would say something about the shaman and paladin playstiles. I play Rsham, I want my character to be a true healer, and my RL had to ask me to go 3 IP. Meanwhile our Hpals, who have one of the easiest healers playstyle for ages, are top healers without caring about mana. Blizzard's idea to diversify playstyles over classes is good, but making every modification top tier is quite disappointing. Chillll guys ♥
Ultimately, the negativity surrounding the game (and the 8.2 grind for essences in Mechagon) are what drove me away, but there are plenty of things about this expansion I really did like and I'm glad someone with a voice is working to not let the good get discarded with the bad. For me, the soundtrack for the game was phenomenal, the character beats were AMAZING - the story overall definitely faltered near the end, but damn if the actual Alliance vs. Horde war bits weren't enjoyable and dramatic, and Jaina and Saurfang are total MVPs this time around - and honestly I really liked most of the dungeons and raids. Waycrest Manor, while frustrating to do with a group that doesn't understand it, is one of my favorite WoW dungeons of all time now, and if Battle of Dazar'alor is all BfA did right, it was worth existing.
I actually find azerite / corruption / essences to be some of the best parts of the expansion. I just think each of these elements were implemented super poorly. I hope they make similar systems that have more QoL features and are more alt friendly (looking at you essences) I actually like the disappearance of set bonuses since I like crafting my own character.
Music for each zone is top quality , actually will be remembered for a long time imo. I can agree with some zone designs and ofc Saurfang cinematics ( really good ). Okay I can agree with Auction House as well but thats it. Raids ? Seriously ? I mean..... REALLY ? Maybe Jaina and just maybe Gelbin Mekkatorque. And for dungeons , I kinda disagree. Yeah , Freehold is really cool but Kings Rest ( in general ) , Motherlode and the last two bosses of Shrine ( especially last one ) are not bad as well if you ask me. Would be 3x better if dear Blizzard had let us gear swap in dungeons once again and remove gcd changes for good. I'm pretty sure when someone asks those questions ten years after from now : - which classes gameplay are you missing from bfa ? - will you be interested if blizzard bring back azerite armor , essances and all those related game system all togehter ? - name five specs you really had so much fun from bfa ? - good news , we are bringing back Bfa pvp , you happy ? the answers will be somewhat the same. Perma stun in real life !
1. Art is nice, wow, who fuckin new 2. We had an event, nothing to do with BfA, but Ok 3. Art is nice 4.Yeah, new races are nice 5. Art is still nice 6. Shit world quests PogU 7. A single dungeon? Sure i guess... 8. AH redesign was nice 9. Running the same essences as everyone else, cos it's the same as with talents, there's just a best build, and Glimmer kinda shoved everything else aside playstyle wise 10. The 4 raids across 2 years are dece, wowie

Either that or youre so desperate for attention that youre still on wow videos even tho you stoped playing because you knew you were shit at the game and just looked for an excuse to quit it and now the hate train for bfa is here and youre right on it just to look cool and make comparisons with fucking hitler. Noone is like hitler except hitler you voidhead.
tyrande whisperwind thanks mate i totally agree
@@w0llib You must be fun at parties.
@@w0llib Lol, who pissed in your coffee? Many people are like hitler though, with an artistic side with some extreme views.
Very few has the same charismatic side that allows them to actually do anything with their views though.
But seriously, just get off the internet mate if you're gonna be this triggered by a comment xD
For me as alliance I loved the zones and the music was great, I also really enjoy how this expansion is really good for solo players I feel live I've got to experience most of the game by my self, I've enjoyed the mythic dungeons as well, my biggest hate is the essenses grind , it completely kills alts I just don't understand why blizzard is being so stubborn about it,
Best parts of bfa for me : Awakened affix , new auction house , Drustvar questline , hivemind secret , warmode
The zones! ♥
Brian Stokley sadly its the bad things people Remember and not the good things
My favorite part was when classic launched. I will give next expansion a go for a month or two to see if they learned anything.
"... shattered into PIECES" okay dude.
Nice
The BFA pet dungeons have been AMAZING
My favorite part was the relief I felt when cancelling my subscription.
The art and sound department always does a nice job. 01:49 Lame ally Ha-Ha-Ha!
If you know someone who entered Waycrest Manor and didn't say "OMG the music" tell them to turn up music volume.
Auction house was great, if not a buggy disaster to begin with
Play Styles I feel like I didn't really play any specs where this really impacted me in any way but there were arguably mathematically best ways to play the game and you were frequently frowned upon for not playing that way, even if you could keep up or outperform others playing the "ideal" way.
Raids could go either way, although I've got to say Nyalotha is just an okay raid. I like most of the bosses and I think they have good unique challenges for the most part, certain things were tedious and I personally think they could do without.
No flying. Amazing world pvp. And true immersion into the environment through questing and travel.
My favorite part will be the end. Im goign to blow my brains out doing m+ for PVP gear.
I'm so happy they added shell game, blizz NEEDS more quality minigames
Honestly, as someone who quit during BfA I'm glad it has ended. So I can try out Shadowlands and maybe get the same feeling I got during Legion.
Surprised there are even 10 things to love about BfA
Well as you can see we included the shell game :p that says something right :D ?
Shell quest as one of the good features, you guys really tried to find something positive.
“With most asking for a little more complexity”
Complexity-Limit joke there?
Sylls Gaming Hahahahaha 😄😄😄😄 maybeeeeeee
My favorite part of BfA is that I unsubbed and did things other than WoW.
There were some really fucking good stories told about the characters of world of Warcraft. Great characters this expansion:
- Saurfang
- Thrall
- Jaina
- Anduin
- Tyrande
- Bwonsamedi
- Griz and Saffy
- Baine
People like to rag on the story, and yeah the over arching story got muddy trying to split the story in two between the Alliance and Horde did not pay off in the end.
I loved the War Campaign. I completed both Faction’s side of the story, as well as the Sylvanas Loyalist storyline! So good!
There are a few bad things about bfa:
- lack of pvp balance and pvp rewards
- disastrous additional systems which shadowed classes’ uniqueness - corruption and essences
- idiotic islands expeditions
- clumsy storyline
Other than that bfa was good
Ivan Dmitriev i agree
So ur saying that Titanforged/Warforged or Corruption RNG was fine to u? Are u saying that Essences were fun even if the grind was WAY too much?
belladesa91 No :)
Island expeditions weren't even bad they were great.
@@RyuLightorb I hope you are joking
My favorite thing about BfA:
Shadowlands
Legion
Raids were fun. And essences. But non account wide essences were a big miss as was the corruption gear.
Tundra hut yeah they should have made it account wide. There is No reason Why it shouldnt be tbh
My favourite thing about bfa is the memes it created
The fishing was nice
I mostly agree with every single points, but I would say something about the shaman and paladin playstiles.
I play Rsham, I want my character to be a true healer, and my RL had to ask me to go 3 IP. Meanwhile our Hpals, who have one of the easiest healers playstyle for ages, are top healers without caring about mana. Blizzard's idea to diversify playstyles over classes is good, but making every modification top tier is quite disappointing.
Chillll guys ♥
I saw tortolan wq , i remember nightmares i have about that whole faction.
Get well leyst
Auction House update was the number 1 thing about bfa imo
3:30 good clip
the raids ... as a warlock ... warlock was fun to play .
I really enjoyed the Alliance storyline in this expansion. Not so much the Horde story though...
one of the best things of bfa is dratnos in my opinion :D
bonus: it's finally over and shadowlands is on the way.
I actually find azerite / corruption / essences to be some of the best parts of the expansion. I just think each of these elements were implemented super poorly.
I hope they make similar systems that have more QoL features and are more alt friendly (looking at you essences)
I actually like the disappearance of set bonuses since I like crafting my own character.
Not a single game mechanic speaks for itself really.
BfA music is perfect. 10\10 most of the time
Cant wait to see the stuff you guys disliked about bfa I can make a list with 1000 things
Soon TM 👀
I'm pretty sure when someone asks those questions ten years after from now :
- which classes gameplay are you missing from bfa ?
- will you be interested if blizzard bring back azerite armor , essances and all those related game system all togehter ?
- name five specs you really had so much fun from bfa ?
- good news , we are bringing back Bfa pvp , you happy ?
the answers will be somewhat the same. Perma stun in real life !
Akin Cesur I agree the Music was really good in bfa. One of the better things.
1. Art is nice, wow, who fuckin new
2. We had an event, nothing to do with BfA, but Ok
3. Art is nice
4.Yeah, new races are nice
5. Art is still nice
6. Shit world quests PogU
7. A single dungeon? Sure i guess...
8. AH redesign was nice
9. Running the same essences as everyone else, cos it's the same as with talents, there's just a best build, and Glimmer kinda shoved everything else aside playstyle wise
10. The 4 raids across 2 years are dece, wowie
