I was pleased to see that a new chapter of "The Reem" has been opened! Longtime MMA aficionado here, I followed Alistair's career since his early days on the international stage when Chuck had knocked him out in Pride. Alistair has come such a long way since then and like BJ mentioned has made his mark not only in MMA but also very successfully in K-1. For some reason I didn't find him a very likable guy back then but watching behind-the-scenes footage and esp. The Reem series has changed my opinion of Alistair. This episode here is another great example, the part where he attends his grandmothers 100th birthday is truly heartwarming and you can see what a down to earth person he actually is. Of course the title of this new season says it all and is program. Since the Rothwell fight he has shown that he's on a mission and totally focused to accomplish his goal. I wish Alistair all the best and hope he will crown his career and his legacy with a very successful "last run"! Am also looking forward to the next episodes of thsi new season...

+TheMundusvultdecipi Same here, I really hope alistair wins this last title. If he does, (wich he will) he achieved everything there is in mma.

+Just Jhyq If Werdum keeps winning they could eventually settle their score as they are both 1:1 so far. In a way they had quite similar careers too. In 2005 there was a possibility that they might have ended up fighting each other in the ADCC 2005 grappling Championship. Alistair had won the European trials -99 Kg but could then not attend the main event so the runner-up went instead. Roger Gracie ended up winning in his division plus Roger won also the Absolute division beating Werdum and Jacare.

+Just Jhyq Yeah seems so :-) I don't know what Werdum's gameplan was but the way he went after Miocic that sloppy was mindboggling to watch. Alistair has already called out Stipe, have you seen the Bloodsport pic he posted on Twitter? In july there's Cain who's scheduled to fight T.Browne so depending on that outcome Alistair might have to wait in line. But considering all the canceled fights because of injuries you never know, time will tell. Cain had very bad luck health wise, the upcoming bout is only his second fight in almost three years! Btw, today is Alistair's birthday, he's only 36 and seems to me like he's been around forever since he started out so young.

+TheMundusvultdecipi He is getting a title shot. Cain has not won in 2 years. And pulling out of his gift wrapped rematch gives another reason for Alistair.
The UFC wanted to get Overeem a title shot years ago (drug test derailed the first attempt at JDS/Overeem) and now he's finally in the position to get it. This is happening.

Alistair is a natural light heavyweight, who bulked up using ped's. He was a world class kickboxer, but because he's not a natural heavyweight, he can't take the power a natural heavyweight generates. The only way he's winning a Ufc title is if he fights at his natural fighting weight.

Albert finney That's just bullshit. He hasn't been on peds for 3-4 years now since usada and although he is very soft he is still over 240.He bulked up not just by steroids but also lifting a shit ton of weights and having great genetics.

JDS talked all that crap and got knocked out . It's crazy how dismissive JDS was of a K-1 and Abu Dhabi world champion
