How Martin prepared his bike for the big Africa adventure!

- Martin and I have met up quite a few times now. First time in Nairobi, later in Kisoro in Uganda. Then we met again in Eldoret in Kenya. He even arranged shipping from Mombasa in Kenya to Salalah in Oman.
On this day we hang out for the last time, so before he took of I asked him to go through his 2019 Honda CRF250L - a bike exactly the same as mine - to see what he did to prepare it for a big motorcycle adventure through Africa and the Middle East.

🎉 ok 👌 Henriette
😊🏍🔥
You just cheered me up. And I'm learning from you. Much love xx
Great video Henriete, another one that shows that you can go anywhere with an affordable and simple bike. like yourself too! Thanks for sharing! 👍👍
Thanks Nelio 😊🏍🔥
Having a frustrating night. So looked for one of your videos to take my mind off things. Love your videos and looking forward to an update.
Awww! Big hug to you MotoMom ❤️🏍🔥
Great review.
Thanks!
👍🏼
Nice video
Thank you 😊🏍🔥
Thank you for this fairly comprehensive review. It is always interesting to see how other people evolve their bikes. A great video 🎉
Thanks a lot 😊🏍🔥
Hi , i have the same 12,5l acerbis tank , what is this little airvent connector on the top, i want such one , thanks
The mod to the break is pretty interesting! Also interesting to learn about the weak spots of the CRF 250L. Now I totally understand why Noraly's Savannah lost her arse in the Kalahari Rally.
At the end of this video I find myself digging through the offer for motorbike wrecks again, hoping to find some pile of parts that I can make a motorbike out off again.
…which is silly as I first need the motorcycle license for that move to make any real sense. And for that, I so far lack the money. 🥴
…doubly so if I buy a pile of parts now… 😵💫
Hahahaha! So funny!!! Get the license Honey!!!
@@ForTheLoveOfWheels For me, this sadly is a pretty high hanging fruit. I hope to finally get that sorted this year.
@@zweispurmopped I cross my fingers for you! Then we go ride together 😊🏍🔥
@@ForTheLoveOfWheels Word! 🤗🙏
I agree Zweispur. Honey has side racks AND top rear rack which braces the tail and carries a lot of weight on top. I really love the way you set up the bike Henriette. Plus you drive it with a degree of care to avoid smashing up. Nice.
Hi , hope you have great time in Arabia.
How do you go about your Bike insurance in Oman and Saudi ?
Any advice is appreciated.
Ride safe 🙏
I didn't get insurance in Oman. I am covered globally with my home insurance.
When I cross the border to Saudi, I am sure I will have to get insurance there at the border.
Sometimes, when you ship, they forget, and here at the port in Salalah, we were happy they forgot as it was 65 usd for insurance per bike. Ridiculously expensive. Normally, it's about 20 usd per month.
@@ForTheLoveOfWheels thanks for your reply. Is your home insurance whatvis called "Trip Ticket" .
You are really beautiful ❤
Thanks
