Okay so I’ve been wanting to do a sew in for a while but I just wanna know the basics; how much does it cost, what’s the full process, what types of sew in are there, do I have to bring my own hair or do they provide it? I’ve been wanting to do this just to give my hair a break for a while if anyone can educate me that would be great!
The cost depends on your location and stylist. Avg. cost from a professional where I am is $125, sometimes they have deals as low as $80. You bring your own hair unless the stylist sells hair and you wish to purchase from her/him.With good hair, a sew in can last up to 6 months, but the more manipulation (washes, ect...) it will shorten the time it lasts but you can always get touch-ups to tighten it.With not so good hair, 3weeks-2months is average, depending on how bad the hair sheds or tangles. Pricew of hair depends on the quality and your preference. Good luck!

That many braids bunched up like that makes it unbreatbable hard to wash and there for the hair will eventually smell BAD like a cheese
tonya dais right and then the quality of hair is HORRIBLE
tonya dais my hair is crazy thick so my braids be all together like that and it has never smelled like cheese. Whoever hair smell like that nasty and need a whooping
tonya dais what you can use to avoid the cheese smell is use Redkin All Soft Shampoo and Conditioner along with Redkin Cat Protein (to strengtens the hair) rinse very well through each step with warm water the use either Grape Seed Oil or Avacado Oil with Lavender Essential Oil and Tree Oil to treat your scalp after washing let you hair air dry with a silk scarf or Silk Stocking Cap and that'll take care of the bad smelling hair issues
