Thank you for always being so hyped on my videos, Liz. We are two kindred spirits! I’m very optimistic about my new full-time classroom teaching job but cautious. This past year out of the classroom was super impactful in very unexpected ways. It really allowed me to do the work of disentangling my identity and self worth from my job which I was SO passionate about. I realized the tricky nature of getting paid to do what I view as activism work. And funnily enough, this channel and the community it’s invited into my life has shown me the power of hobbies to balance the scales! Like, the trauma and challenges of my professional life even permeate how I paint! Like what?? It goes that deep!
Midsommar was one of those movies that I knew I wanted to see but held off for SO long, mostly because I wanted to wait to see it during spring or summer. I had the same hesitancy going into this hostel but it was a freaking Victorian mansion!!! I took the risk and was surprised how chill it was THANK THE LORD
For new tarot decks, I like to find a clean spot to spread them all out on the surface and start scattering them around to shuffle them for the first time and then collect them back up. Each time I shuffle after that, unless I feel the energy needs a good scattering again, is by doing what you did. Or grabbing random chunks and putting them to the front or back. Or a mix of both, until I feel compelled to draw. I love that deck, it's on my list to pick up myself!

Mushroom Rain looks like a cute read! I recently learned from a friend that "mushroom rain" in her language is what they call it when it's raining but the sun is shining, and I think that's adorable.
