Is there any evidence it was actually intended for that? It's used for the level in a famous ROM hack, but I've never heard of that connection anywhere else.

flarn2006 These's no evidence, that's why I said "should have been originally meant". I don't know if it has been proved, or if it's just a fan dream, but I have to say that the re-use you heard in the famous ROM hack (the one I probably have played too ^^) is kind of pretty accurate, anyway for me it will always be : Wood Zone = Emerald Hill 2P, Dust Hill = Mystic Cave 2P, and Genocide Cyber City = Casino Night 2P. Even if it's not official, this is my fan dream ^^
