This lesson is about how to approach rhythm phrasing.
Combining a strong rhythm phrasing with a strong choice of notes is going to produce a winning musical piece.
Find some patterns of sequences that you can remind visually (like a three note per string scale) and tie to them different rhythm motifs so you can practice your rhythm phrasing.

Excellent lessons here!
What a great lesson. You have a gift for communicating this stuff! Those sounds remind me of Grateful Dead sounds.
Loved this lesson. Thanks David!!
HI David, I love your approach to how and what to practice and especially focusing on Rhythm.I only play harp and this video opened my eyes,I know due to my simple scale practice with modes, I sometimes do this, but your concept really can groom one's musical skills. The other video on using simple children rhyming books or songs to create new musical concepts also hit home.I guess my thirst for musical understanding led me here. A new learning curve. Kudos!
Thank you!!
Approaching 100k. 🎸 Great video and content as always.
Great lesson, David.
Great as always! Thanks for sharing
ALL I know is David Walliman and Claus Levin Teaming up has got to be better then Batman and Robin fighting off all of their nemesis ;) Couldn't think of two better instructors to match up with each other to come up with a course, I suspect you have some great content in these ORIGIN Videos later man glad to see you two doing something together.
thx
Hey David, I had baught claus levins power blues videos and he taught rhythme in it, do you know if this course is going to be different content compared to that course or if this is looking at it from a different perspective and different approaches. I have excelled exponentially with just that course and your guitar infusion content. Wondering if its the same rhythme info and practice techniques as in the clauses power blues, or is this going to be worth it for someone who already has their rhythme down in most all the divisions of straights and triplets and divisions there of. Thanks hope this question makes since LOL
+Mike fisvii I'm not familiar with the Power Blues course. Send me an email at david@davidwallimann.com or info@clauslevin.com and
we'll help you out! :)
Thanks for the reply david will be one of my next purchases probably have to get thru guitar infusion first lol must stay focused ;) lol
Play that Tele....Please, just once.
Yeah, yeah. Do you want to learn something or just listen to music? ;)
When it comes down to it, its all about music and I wouldn't be here if I didn't want to learn something...Right

Do you know why your videos are great? The guitar level is lower than your voice. Thank you for that.
Your lesson should have provided a better explanation and demonstration of a rhythmic motive. It's also missing a quick analysis of your demonstration. The concept is usually called "rhythmic motive", not "rhythm motive". So your knowledge on the topic is not very good either, but good try at best.
Well I tried... :D
PS: I did mean "rhythm motif". Rhythmic motive is different. It's French, that's how I know. :)
Motif: a short succession of notes producing a single impression; a brief melodic or rhythmic formula out of which longer passages are developed.
David Wallimann a motive is a short repeated musical idea or unit. That's just a definition. A definition doesn't describe or explain it, but defines it in order to differentiate it from other concepts. The word "motif" is another way of spelling "motive". They both have the same meaning. By the way, this is an english video, not french. So your excuse is not very good.
My bad! Thanks man. :)
David Wallimann no problem. If you need clarification or tips in the future, don't be shy to ask. I'm here to help folks like you ;)
Thanks Chris, couldn't do it without you. Your videos have helped me tons! ;)
