The worse I've ever heard was the poor person hiding during a robbery in a gas station, and the robber was shooting people. The dispatcher kept trying to get the person to talk despite being told multiple times what's going on and not wanting to be heard. Well, the person was heard and the shot. I swear, there needs to be a mixture of sensitivity training and common sense training for these dispatchers. I actually tried the job once, so I do have some insight and can appreciate how hard of a job it is. I also do understand where they're coming from when they're calm and constantly asking for an address. The reason that most dispatchers seem cold is because of how much details they're asking for in quick succession, but above all else, demanding an address right off the bat. This is extremely important as a trace is not always 100% accurate, and it's sometimes much faster to get that from the caller. Also, asking details lets dispatch relay what kind of a situation the police will be getting into, let the emergency staff know if fire or medical is needed, etc. But above all else, that address is extremely important. But again, common sense to know what kinds of questions are not needed or when having a caller constantly talk is not okay, as well finding a balance in tone is something more departments should be teaching their dispatch

I know. It’s insane that things like that are allowed.
You know, Ted Bundy acted as his own Lawyer throughout his various Trials. During the later ones that were for him murdering the girls in the Florida Sorority, one of them survived and he questioned her on the stand.
He had tried and just about succeeded in caving her skull in with a log essentially, and there he is questioning her. She had all kinds of permanent problems from the attack. I believe he got to question her before court as well, but it’s been awhile since I read all the details of his case.

To put that poor boy through that cross examination was heartless, which again proves the depth of that man's depravity. 💔 My heart broke when he said "You stabbed me." Thank God he has a family that will love him through this, that man wasn't his father, he was just a man that hurt him and his family. A father would never put his child through any of that.
