I got my Queen all the way back in April 2015 after her first release at the end of 2014 and I know it’s an original due to the Neca copyright in the sculpt under the crest, her teeth are yellowing, age has made the paint on the figure fade over the past eight years which is a bummer, but she still looks as grey as she did before on display.
Paint faiding? That's really sad. Anyway, I'm waiting for the reissue of this lady, to check the initial painting quality. Neca copyrights also may be on bootleg toys.
Updated!!! After aditional investigation, the difference with its feet is no more between the original and a bootleg, b/c it is just misassembled. You should turn the feet around and a toe too to fit the promo picture. The main difference is painting quality, copyright signs and the placement of the accesories in the blister. По итогам доп. изысканий выяснилось, что отличий в молде стопы нет, просто игрушка в разных коробках по разному собрана. Нужно провернуть подъем вокруг своей оси и развернуть носок, в итоге вид будет как на промо-фото продукта.
Any plans to review the new reissue version? I just bought one, myself - waiting for it to come in.
Was wondering what your thoughts on it are. Cheers!
Yes, I have 2 versions and waiting 3d variant to make a triple comparasing. I placed a preorder for june'24
NECA is doing a re-release of this beauty this year. Great news.
Yep, everyone waits for this moment) It's interesting, if there is any change in paint scheme.
Hi there are both types of alien queen? If mine has a yellowish in the teeth and the neca and fox markings but a different type of blue it coukd be a fake?
Hello. Perhaps, it is a reissue version, sometimes they change paint scheme (check the production date on its box). Or, if you have the same feet misassemble as on mine, it could be an original. Otherwise, there is a chance that yours is a fake.
Hi do you know if the bootlegs or knock off comes with only a blister o with the box?
Hello. Yes, for example, some sellers on Ali offer figures in box or w/o box. Sometimes the queen comes disassembled in plastic bag.
hello friend. i love your channel and all your videos. thanks to your channel my collections has grown a lot. i want it to ask you, if you could help me by giving some tips of how i can recognize a bootleg neca alien queen. I have one but i dont know if its real or KO.
Hello, bro. Such comments motivate me to keep on going with the channel. Thank you. Please, check the comments section under this video, I tried to make several answers to youtubers where I did it in english. But basicly, the original figure must have teeth yellowing, misassemble in its feet, copyright signs under its dome, the dome mustn't detach, rich varnish cover and smooth dome painting. If you have a box with a blister, there must be a background picture and the accesories accomodation must suit the video. Cheers!
@@MoscowTKD my figure has like a clearing dirty teeth box doesn’t have the background (maybe because the guy I bought it off took it out) but there is copyright signs under it’s dome and the dome isn’t detachable what would you say it is?
@@ultimatekiwi4297 Dirty teeth is a good sign that it is an original. Also, if its toes are turned around as in my vid, I think it is 100% original, because this QC misassemble was on all first wave toys. Also, pay attention to the accesory placement on the blister. It must be exactly as on mine.
@@MoscowTKD thank you very much but what do I do about the inner mouthes they don’t have the yellow teeth and aren’t glossy like the body (also the queens top part of the crest isn’t filled in with black
@@ultimatekiwi4297 U're welcome. Hard to say, as you can see mine queen has clear inner teeth but the tongue itself is pritty glossy. Also mine has dark lines of shading on its dome. But I heard that the blue queen was reissued, so, perhaps, you have a second version with different color scheme. If it is an official reissue the number on the box, which starts from 367N.. will contain another date of production. Thats all I can say.
I want to know how to check this.. but, I can't understand your language.. could you please explain in English?
Sure, If I can. First of all you should check if there are copyright signs underneath the Queens crown on both sides. Then check the placement of accesories on the blister, KO's have different placement. The painting on the dome is more glided and lighter, there is no contrast stripes on the original. The dome must hold tight and not to detach easily. All jouints are stiff. The jaw moves freely and holds shut position perfectly at the same time. The varnish is perfect on the Queens belly. I also thought that the original has a different feet mold, but later on I discoverd that it was just misassembled. This exact specimen of the figure was purchased long ago from the official dealer, you can see the yellowing on its teeth.
@@MoscowTKD Thanks for the info, bro. But basically we have to open the box and check in order to differentiate whether it's original or KO.. which is impossible for me because I'm buying online..
@@bctan2291 U're welcome. Unfortunately, I could not find any particular additional signs on the box itself. But I know, that some cheap KO's of this figure do not have any background picture behind the figure (some good KO's have this picture too). Anyway, if the seller refuses to open a box, you must keep in mind, that this figure can't be too cheap today, and the seller must have a good score.
@@MoscowTKD I'll try to ask the seller to open the box and show me photo of the figure. Thanks again, for the advice!
@@bctan2291 feel free to make any additional post here with any other important information about this figure. I hope this small video will be useful for other collectors, good luck with hunting :D
Just a small update. The reissue version has a release number 367N081117 and has an additional "W" shape connector for a stand holder.
Wait so if the stand is a W then it's real? Or is it a fake?
@@goodxd701 All you see in this vid is real. Also, I've gotten the 3d version of this toy. Soon there'll be a comparising vid of 3 versions. So stay tuned.
