The Galaxy class had an expected lifespan of 100 years, so it wouldn't be decommissioned. Even at the end of its lifespan, it would still probably be put to other uses, just not on the frontline.
It's never easy to watch a ship be decommissioned, I've seen a lot of sailors tear up, cry and lose it when one if the great ones go to the boneyard or worse! But her name will live in in stories and history! Goodbye Venture, you shall be missed!
The Venture will be remembered always. A valiant ship serving in the Dominion war under less than ideal conditions and yet she always seems to come out at the end of the day. "She's a good ship, and shes got the right name, treat her like a lady, and she'll always bring you home."
today, my friends we bid farewell to the finest ship ever to serve in the federation. And though she goes from the skies forever she will not go from our hearts. All hands. Attention, present arms. To the venture we bid you farewell and thank you
*Salutes* and so we say goodby to a grand old lady of the fleet who served the federation well and held her ground against evils threat. Amazing how a fictional video like this can tug the heartstrings, watching this was like saying goodbye to a long time friend. Excellent work on this one.,
One hell of a vid Rifleman. Almost as good as your New Years Special showing off all the Enterprises. Something about this vid though, just tugs at your heart. That's not an easy thing to do. Excellent work.
That video was really good, if I am honest I just sort of stumbled onto it but I am glad I did. You put it together really well and the music made the whole video come together. I feel sad after watching the video, thats how good it was. I need to find more on the USS Venture. Well done RifleMan and Well done USS Venture
That was beautiful and utterly heartbreaking. The Venture IS an excellent ship and always will be. I think the ol' girl should have went out like a warrior, or at least put into a museum or made into a training ship, not scrapped; no offense. She will be missed.
You know, RifleMan, you've got the talent to make seriously awesome videos. You should think about making a series with a whole new enemy never seen before. Introduce someone new, change things up a little. Make it exciting. I hope you'll consider the suggestion.
SORRY....SEEING PICARD'S SHIP DECOMMISSIONED. DONS'nt GET TO ME ....I'M FROM THE KIRK...SPOCK AND MCCOY GENERATION OF TREKKER'S.... AND NOBODY WAS EVER..... AS GOOD..OR GREAT AS....THEM!!!!!!😁😉

Just like the Constitution class were.
lets hope that star trek history for the future will never forget the name USS Venture
I actually read in FICTIONAL Star Trek timeline that the Galaxy class would be in production for a good while. So I wouldn't say goodbye just yet

They should've turned it into a dreadnaught

I hate to see another Galaxy go... They are such grand ships!
Indeed the Venture will be missed.
@Crusnik2000
thats a good idea. and a way to save a ship if needed for when the fleets seriously low on ships and could use even older ships for help.
You know, RifleMan, you've got the talent to make seriously awesome videos. You should think about making a series with a whole new enemy never seen before. Introduce someone new, change things up a little. Make it exciting. I hope you'll consider the suggestion.
@Crusnik2000 the b was said to have been destroyed. The A was actually destroyed in a book that is, of course, non-canon.
She changed the tide of many battles. So any chance some one might steal the Venture
this video is sad. no star ship should go like that
That was touching.
There are plenty of other letters in the alphabet...
I recognize the first song from FFX... Yuna's dance to the spirits. XD
What's the song name?
It's "Ending Theme" from "Final Fantasy X"
