The Founding Fathers wanted America to be a secular nation that separated church and state/be a nation that did not favor any religion over any other. A lesser known reason why we wanted to break away from Great Britain was that the British monarch was very religious/their government persecuted people based on their religion (Mayflower any1?). Many of the Founders were also not Christian or at least feared that if America was a "Christian Nation" (which we aren't) that persecuted based on religion we would be no better than the King. As such, they wrote in the 1st Amendment that any1 can practice (or not practice) any religion in America as a basic human right. And there is a Christian version of Sharia Law; it's when the federal government forced Natives and Africans to convert to Christianity/attend schools to "embrace civilization" or be executed. Allowing more Temples, Mosques, or Synagogues does not make America any of a "Christian Nation" because we never were considered as such, and if you are a non-Christian born in America your rights are the same as a Christian who was born here.

From that point on, my life slowly got back to normal and has only been improving with the more closer I get with the good Lord. Now my whole family is on a Revival. The whole family getting closer to God, frequently talking about the Bible at get together. And if you knew my family members you would see this as a miracle in itself. But here we are. God is definitely working in my family and he has transformed many of us and saved many of us in more then one way.

The Founding Fathers wanted America to be a secular nation that separated church and state/be a nation that did not favor any religion over any other. A lesser known reason why we wanted to break away from Great Britain was that the British monarch was very religious/their government persecuted people based on their religion (Mayflower any1?). Many of the Founders were also not Christian or at least feared that if America was a "Christian Nation" (which we aren't) that persecuted based on religion we would be no better than the King. As such, they wrote in the 1st Amendment that any1 can practice (or not practice) any religion in America as a basic human right. And there is a Christian version of Sharia Law; it's when the federal government forced Natives and Africans to convert to Christianity/attend schools to "embrace civilization" or be executed. Allowing more Temples, Mosques, or Synagogues does not make America any of a "Christian Nation" because we never were considered as such, and if you are a non-Christian born in America your rights are the same as a Christian who was born here.

I just don't understand why people want it to be illegal. Like, I know there are women who do it because they're either too young or just don't want it. Then there are women who have problems where pregnancy can cause damage to their body and/or the baby at the same time (e.g. me). I mean, seriously, I'd much rather get rid of the baby before it's alive than torture it to death for 9 months.

The real test is if Congress passes a bill to strip the federal courts of jurisdiction (as the constitution permits congress to decide her jurisdiction outside her original scope) to hear abortion cases, would he sign it? And would the supreme court sign off on it after he replaces 3 more justices?
