Re St Pats i think Stephen Kenny has done a great job to get the St Pats team playing with great confidence and flair. A great game, and a great result for the Inchicore team.
St Pats never relegated since joining the top tier of Irish football in the 1950s. A club which encapsulates the local community. The passion tonight reminded me of watching the English Premier league in the 1990s. When football was pure and full of characters. Tonight we had goals, drama and passion. A proper game of football. The clubs and players have made this no thanks to the corrupt FAI. In some ways I prefer it this way, not to grow and keep it as it is for the real fans.
Last 10/12 games by Pats is the best form any team in the league has produced this season. If there were an extra 4 or 5 games left they would be favourites but as it is they will probably end up 2 or 3 points short. Shels seem to have hit the wall completely wouldn't be surprised if Rovers scraped it now but it's genuinely impossible to call. Whover loses out can't be whingeing anyway they have all had enough chances and shat the bed.
I'm glad Pats came out on top, gowan the Saints, but what a game. It had everything, a great showcase for the League. Silly sending off at the end, there is no need for that stupidity
While the game was very good, lets not kid ourselves as this tlyears league has been the worst standard i've ever seen watching league of Irekand football for 30+ years. To think a club with only 1 win in 9 games are still top of the league shows how rubbish it has been. Most other leagues that would be relegation form. Yet here Shels as poor as they have been remain on top. Shamrock Rovers have been useless. Derry cant put a run together. If Kenny was at Pats start of year they'd have the league wrapped up by the looks of things.
Game of the season! What an advertisement for the league of Ireland 👏
Especially considering they both played Friday night
Especially when RTE graced the league by showing the game
Cracking game
Im 44 years old and that was one of the best games of football Ive ever seen
What a game ,a game for the ages ,both sides played some great stuff
GREATEST LEAGUE IN THE WORLD.
best game for years
What a game of football!

The 90’s were fucking shite in the Premier league 😂
@@laynervixxer Must be a Liverpool fan 😆 🤣 😂
What a game
The second goal for Pats is atrocious from a Shelbourne point of view. Cracking effort from the guys own half too, would have been an outrageous goal.

Nobody wants to win the league at this rate

What does that tell u about the rest of them

Cracking game tonight, very enjoyable and great Goals, lillywhite fan,,
Even a few digs after the match against rival fans which is always great to see. Loi pure passion
To be fair to the two clubs, they have rarely caused much trouble over the years and I can go back to the 60's. Great set of fans.
@raymonddixon7603 ye they were always fairly windy in comparison to bohs an rovers but shells have got a rough element last few years.
What a game of football , hopefully the title comes up north to Derry. RAWA

Great end to the season coming up, what a game!
Its never a sending off 🤷♂
@@Beanbag777he stuck a finger in bolgers eye 🤣🤣🤣
Shelburne could not have picked a worst time to go on a bad run
Not showing the foul on John Martin before the pats 3rd goal for some reason?
Watch it again. Fistful of jersey in his hand when he gets “fouled”
Still had plenty of time to win the game overall, was there any need for Ledgwidge to push a player in the back when he's going nowhere?
Looked soft
The player in Red that did the eye gouge at the end needs to be held accountable
and yet the co-commentator is adamant is wasn't a sending off....
Shels player Smith clearly gouged the St Pats player, he let himself down bigtime particularly after scoring a great equaliser.
1080 my arse
Duff and shels biggest bottlers going

Some would say it's competitive rather than poor...I don't really agree with those people.
If Rovers and Pats had got their act together it would have been a different league.
Great game ,never a red card though
