It isn't 1993 or earlier either, his hair length doesn't match, it was much longer than that throughout late 1993 and Nirvana's last 1994 tour. He cut his hair right upon arriving back home from their last tour, which can be seen in Kurt's funeral as well. The trees are green because it's somewhere more towards the south in the US.

Nirvana played Terminal 1 (last gig) on March 1st (Dave had long hair), Kurt was then diagnosed with severe laryngitis and bronchitis and the last two dates of the European leg of the tour were cancelled (Terminal 1 again on March 2nd and then Stadthalle Offenbach on the 3rd) so everyone went home on March 2nd, with Kurt going to Rome where he overdosed on March 3rd. He didn't leave hospital until March 8th, so that was a dark few days. Kurt's drug intervention was on March 25, 1994 - although Dave didn't go, then to rehab on March 30th and went missing on April 2nd. So, based on all that - that would put this interview roughly between March 8th and 24th, 1994.

I would say probably January of 94 before they went to Bob's studio to record for the very last time and before their final tour. It is funny tho and kinda proves what Buzz Osborn said not to long again where Kurt and everyone was tired of the band and since Kurt was on drugs and the rest of the band wasn't agreeing on a lot or seeing eye to eye as you would say and it got to the point that they would all separate and not want to be around one another because Kurt started to alienate himself into cheap motels and find whatever reason to use. That would typically piss off Dave and Chris and they would be like there goes Kurt again doing the same shit. And Kurt being the addict that he was which I am not speaking down on him because I have been there and I have been that guy who has had his friends and Band Mates get tired of my shit but yet the same visa versa because of being the created force behind the group. It's the same thing Lennon went through what he did with Paul and The Beatles and Jim with The Doors. But Kurt would feel that he did not deserve to be treated that way. He could afford his habit he was not robbing people. He was not hurting anybody but himself. So who would he or should he have to you know? So You see just in the way Dave answered those questions. That things were different between them. In the beginning they used to bring one another up in almost every interview complimenting each other especially when they were away from one another. In this one it seemed that every time the band was mentioned or even brought up anything that involved Kurt he kinda played it off kindly. Now these are just my opinion and I have no right to put words in Dave's mouth or act like I know how he truly felt about Kurt before or after death. I am just speaking on my gut instinct and from my own similar personal situations. But as for the interview I would definitely be willing to be January if not very beginning of Feb right before their last tour.

You have to remember Kurt´s body was found 4 days after he died. This was recorded 1 or 2 days after Kurt died (maybe even the same day) but 2 days before the body was found. Kurt had told Dave he wasn´t happy with his drumming anymore but never actually fired him. Dave was thinking of leaving Nirvana and exploring different options of what to do next when he got that call on April 8th that Kurt had passed. So yes, this was after Kurt´s death but before Dave knew about it.

And Kurt being the addict that he was which I am not speaking down on him because I have been there and I have been that guy who has had his friends and Band Mates get tired of my shit but yet the same visa versa because of being the created force behind the group. It's the same thing Lennon went through what he did with Paul and The Beatles and Jim with The Doors. But Kurt would feel that he did not deserve to be treated that way. He could afford his habit he was not robbing people. He was not hurting anybody but himself. So who would he or should he have to you know? So You see just in the way Dave answered those questions. That things were different between them. In the beginning they used to bring one another up in almost every interview complimenting each other especially when they were away from one another. In this one it seemed that every time the band was mentioned or even brought up anything that involved Kurt he kinda played it off kindly. Now these are just my opinion and I have no right to put words in Dave's mouth or act like I know how he truly felt about Kurt before or after death. I am just speaking on my gut instinct and from my own similar personal situations. But as for the interview I would definitely be willing to be January if not very beginning of Feb right before their last tour.

You have to remember Kurt´s body was found 4 days after he died. This was recorded 1 or 2 days after Kurt died (maybe even the same day) but 2 days before the body was found. Kurt had told Dave he wasn´t happy with his drumming anymore but never actually fired him. Dave was thinking of leaving Nirvana and exploring different options of what to do next when he got that call on April 8th that Kurt had passed. So yes, this was after Kurt´s death but before Dave knew about it.
This was a month before Kurt died.. It was in March "94"
