this is truly some of the most heartfelt shaku playing I've heard in a while. been making and playing simple/jinashi flutes for over a year now, and Trav Ro's sound seems very deep to me, in the best of ways.
Thank you very much for your beautiful sound❤ I have now found an ideal piece of your beautiful Shakuhachi-sounds performance for my meditation. I am Japanese and looked for this beautiful elegant sounds and spirits in Shakuhachi. Thank you for your performance and this video❤
Hi there. I have a new album on Spotify if you simply search "Trav Ro" - I would recommend selecting loop and shuffle for infinite variety of mindful melodies.
Peaceful Greetings, I would just like to send a personal invite to subscribe the this channel, it will support me to create more recordings in the future to share with you. With Love. - T
I love your music. Thank you! I have a Japanese flute on it's way from Australia. I play a standard silver flute, and an native American flute. I'm hoping my new Japanese flute won't be too difficult to pick up. Any advice would be welcome! You pay so beautifully,I love listening to you! Your friend, Valerie O'Hanlon

I always wanted to play shakuhachi, tho I have a question. If I would play it in like a normal room wouldn't it sound like way more staccato then in all these shakuhachi videos? like they all have such a great reverb.. it makes it so mystical... but like without the reverb it kinda looses some of it's magic for me :(
Hi June, I studied Bamboo Flute (Bansuri) with Hariprasad Chaurasia and his disciples in India for a few years.. I was drawn to the Shakuhachi after that. I happy you enjoy the sound.

Nice *coffee shop new age sacuhachi style* music.., AND I MEAN IT!: it is not real sacuhachi music, but it works acceptabily well...

If you have played silver flute, the embochure is similar.... just focus on blowing from the point below the naval... slow exhale.

You might not get such a great reverb by playing in your room, but the sound is still warm, even with a Shakuhachi Yuu.
@@ffederel thanks :)
Do you belong to any school of shakuhachi? You are the one who I listen most often, the sound is so healing!
