To be fair, in the game's canon this is essentially what Red and Blue have done. Red still travels as a seasoned trainer while Blue is following his grandfather's footsteps as a Professor/Researcher sometimes tagging alone with Red on his travels as Sun and Moon shows us. Us seeing Ash show up older in the anime adjacent from the new Protagonist every once in the while along with other characters would be fun.
This was surprisingly deep and emotional. I only stuck with Ash from Misty's to Dawn's era (I kinda lost interest at that point since I got busy with college). But all the fun memories of playing the games and watching the anime will always be with me. Man, I miss being a kid.

Day 2 is still really early, and before pretty much anyone else. Also they were a bigger part of it than anyone who was there before them (Oak, Misty, Dahlia, Gary) except Ash and Pikachu themselves.
If memory serves, Jessie, James, Meowth, Dawn and maybe Brock(?) were the only ones who were on his final championship personslly. Not even his mother showed up.
I find it rather bittersweet, because now the original english VA for meowth can finally rest knowing her legacy has come to a close. Rest in peace Maddie Blaustein.
I gotta admit, even if this is technically a parody, this video hits different man. Even though I didn’t really watch Pokémon growing up, I’m still aware of the impact he had on so many peoples lives, with just his one. I’ll miss Ash once he’s gone, even if I never went on it with him…I wish I had. Easily the most emotional video Solid JJ has ever made. Godspeed, Ash Ketchum! I JUST GOT TO MEWOTH BECOMING ONE WITH THE FORCE LMFAO
I feel like I'm out of the loop on this since I haven't watched the show in years. Are they getting rid of ash and continuing the show or is the whole thing ending?
As much as solid Jj is more satirical than anything else, the tone shift when Oak began talking about how many lives Ash has touched, really brought tears to my eyes. Alot of us lived breathed and ate pokemon, and Ash was the staple. It's been a ride n he really will be missed
There's nothing to look forward to in the void. Nor is there anything to get you down. Except the lack of things to do. Seriously, Meowth had the right idea because continuing to exist with nothing to do means you'll be bored until you literally cannot take it anymore and yeet yourself into the ether out of desperation.
@@epsi wait... Doesn't that principle also work for our conventional image of paradise? I mean, if everything is perfect, wouldn't you be stuck in eternal boredom?!
@@julio.dealmeidabranconeto5831 No necessarily. For paradise to work essentially, our ability to experience boredom would need to be eliminated. Boredom is also born out of a lack of satisfaction or discontentment. Hence if everything is perfect, then everything is fine. No boredom.

"No room to grow? How about vertically!" had me laughing. Then Meowth becoming one with the Force absolutely killed my sides. On a serious note, losing Ash is a pretty big hit. Like, he was always there, doing his thing, and soon, he's just going to be gone. Sure, he had one hell of an adventure, but man. He's just going away. The last episode he'll ever be in airs this month, and that's gonna be sad. Life goes on, but not Ash.
Why did this hit me so much harder than I thought it was, in just 3 short minutes JJ somehow perfectly captured Ash’s entire story, how Brock surprisingly was in way more seasons than we remember, and how it ends, with Ash finally winning, but losing at the same time. And meowth becoming a force ghost but I digress. Edit: why is this my highest liked comment in just 3 hours ☠️
He had to be. They tried to get rid of him three times, the first two having such backlash they brought him back immediately. wasn't until the alola soft reboot that they finally dropped him. partially at least, he and misty showed up a few times anyway.
2:55 "Eh nah I think I'm just gonna become one with The Force." This line from Meowth was absolutely hilarious. Been quite a journey over the last 26 years, Ash/Satoshi. Thanks for the memories and being a part of my childhood. On to the next chapter. We'll still have the movie universe Ash that started with the "I Choose You" movie.
They could always bring him back for a cameo, or maybe as an older mentor figure. It would be kinda sick honestly, having the new MC's occasionally meet the world champion and either never notice since Ash won it at age 11, or only realize after the fact.
And I thought that the peak of this episode was lavender town playing as ash's dementia kicks in. Then the ending hit, and I teared up, followed by unstoppable laughter as Meowth faded away.
Rest in peace, the Pokemon voice actors that have died recently, know that you have changed the life of many, and that many miss you since your passing.

There's nothing to look forward to in the void.

@@julio.dealmeidabranconeto5831 No necessarily. For paradise to work essentially, our ability to experience boredom would need to be eliminated. Boredom is also born out of a lack of satisfaction or discontentment. Hence if everything is perfect, then everything is fine. No boredom.
