Stephen Morris is a freakin' machine. I've played drums (not too well, lol) and I think most people don't realize how difficult it is to do what he's doin'! WOW!!
you can just feel the regret, remorse, tension and confusion in this electric performance of a band not knowing where they are goingl but knowing that when they get there it's going to be incredible.
@woodmankrk I tend to believe this was the main reason they were notorious for not playing encores. He was probably too exhausted to continue. I get tired just looking at him! Amazing drummer. He and Hooky are one of the best rhythm sections I've ever seen.
Like @Procopius1980 said, this was in a transactional period, between NO and JD. This songs were like a fusion between what JD were and what's NO became. Yet I like the others NO albums, even knowing that they are much more "selling focused".
New order were awesome 'til low-life,then became great 'til substance and then they went downhill....and even worse on top:they kicked thee best bassist out for whatever reason.i dunno why but must be personal.anyway, joy division is the most pinnacle band for me and i enjoy new orders peel sessions so much, that they carry the same weight for me as joy divisions peel sessions.....and i find jds peel sessions superior to hannetts production.i love those albums but i am happy that the band got the chance to record under different circumstances.a luxury for me.

Hey America, set your clocks to Steve's drumming!
LOL, no wonder Stephen's the one whos managed to stay the slimmest!

damn steve is a fucking badass on the drums! he's my favorite drummer! very underrated!
You really DO expect Ian to walk out and pick up the mic and deliver... something incredible
1:30 hooky sounds scarily like ian curtis
Ouvi o disco movement, ainda tem uma reminiscência de Joy division, gostei do disco, com certeza é o disco mais pesado da banda.
Bought this CD IN 1992 in Knoxville, Tn. Had some great times with 1st girlfriend there listening to it.
Fantastic, really dark and moody, early New Order at their best imo
Thanks for posting this live session! All incredible to see/hear.
Masterful this warms my soul!
How can a video this good be on youtube for over a year and only have a bit over 2100 views!?
they got ole Steve doing all the work on this one, everyone else there is kinda just standing around, and Steve is sweating bullets.....
ニューオーダーのなかで一番好きな曲です♪ギリギリな感じがたまらく良いです。
DarkOrder... beautiful chapter

@laynenmru Hell yes. Their thrill is gone now.
@laynenmru it's called youth...my fellow music lover!
Amazing.
Does anyone know if this song is about Ian's death? Denial?
5 more here.
thx
なぜこんなに自然体が美しいのだろう?
ニューオーダーってのは掴みどころがないからこそ、人々を魅了してきた唯一無二の存在なのかもしれないね!^^^
Was gonna ask if this is the same guitar that Bernard uses now but IIRC it was stolen during this trip along with the rest of the gear.
pyrtwist well it depends on when in the tour this was because im pretty sure the gear was stolen on their first night in the US
Yes, he explains it in his book.
ニューオーダーのなかではこれが一番好き♪^^^
What kind/make of synth is Gillian using here?
I was born way too late.
I mean now, of course.
