- Today, the congregation gathers together to partake in a sacred time of worship and prayer, humbly offering their gratitude to the Almighty. As they lift their voices in reverent praise, they are guided by the esteemed leadership of Rev. David Brown, who will share an impactful message centered on the theme of A King Who Redeems Our Life.
Psalm 72:10-14
10 May the kings of Tarshish and of the isles render him tribute; may the kings of Sheba and Seba bring gifts.
11 May all kings fall down before him, all nations give him service. 12 For he delivers the needy when they call, the poor
and those who have no helper. 13 He has pity on the weak and the needy and saves the lives of the needy. 14 From oppression and violence he redeems their life, and precious is their blood in his sight.
The service will be accentuated by the beautiful, uplifting and soulful sounds of music by the talented Armstrong Chancel Choir; directed by Ben Basone and Stacy Haney on the organ and piano. Together, we will lift our hearts in timeless hymns of worship, including the beloved United Methodist hymn What Child Is This, Come, O Come, All Ye Faithful and Star-Child. Amidst this sacred symphony, the children of the congregation will also have their moment to shine, as the Children's Sunday School Program presents a special Children's Moment exploring the depths of faith. Undergirding the service is the steadfast devotion of liturgist, Shelley Bamberberger who will lead the congregation in the Call to Worship and guide them through the appointed scripture passages. A special thank you to our greeters; Brenda Walker and Leslie and Mark Pennell. This multi-faceted celebration of praise and reverence will undoubtedly fill the hearts of all in attendance with a profound sense of gratitude and connection to the divine.
The dedicated production team of Shanon Rice, Kashena Rhoill, and volunteer Armstrong Youth member Alex K. played a vital role in ensuring today's worship service was a seamless, engaging experience for all in attendance. Elevating the worship experience and ensuring the pastor's words, the choir's harmonies, and the community's prayers are shared far beyond the walls of the sanctuary.
