The thought of retirement makes me cry. My apologies to everyone who have retired and filing social security during this time after putting in all those years of work just to lose everything to a problem you never imagined to happen. It’s so difficult for people who are retired and have no savings to fall back on.
Effective personal finance management is more important than the amount of money saved, regardless of whether income is earned through job or investment. Individuals can seek counsel from a certified financial advisor to optimize financial outcomes, who can provide specialized advice and methods to decrease expenses and maximize income.
I completely agree; I am in my mid 40s, approaching retirement, and have approximately over 2million dollars in external retirement funds. I am debt free and have very little money in retirement funds compared to the total value of my portfolio over the past three years. To be honest, the Fin-advisor can only be neglected, not rejected. Just do your due diligence to identify a fiduciary one.
I think this is something I should do, but I've been stalling for a long time now. I don't really know which firm to work with; I feel they are all the same but it seems you’ve got it all worked out with the firm you work with so i surely wouldn’t mind a recommendation.
I've experimented with a few over the past years, but I've stuck with ‘’Kathie Daisy Bosco” for about three years now, and her performance has been consistently impressive. She’s quite known in her field, look her up.
Kathie has the appearance of being a great authority in her profession. I looked her up online and found her website, which I reviewed and went through to learn more about her credentials, academic background, and employment. She has a fiduciary duty to protect my best interests. I sent her an email outlining my objectives and also booked a session with her; thanks for sharing.
Man I'm sorry to tell you but you're talking about people that busted their ass all their lives is still not getting $1,000 a month I know I'm one of them

I worked very hard to achieve what I have now, but in my last years, I owe it to myself to "stop and smell the roses." After I retired, I left the nation and now reside in Latin America. I was able to enjoy my new surroundings and escape from all the bad things that were going on in America. I haven't yet encountered anyone who laments their retirement.
Yeah but with that increase in Cola insurance will take that... So what's the point of giving us a cola raise just for the insurance to take it? Oh never mind you can't even hardly buy any groceries with that whole $38 if you're lucky you're getting that much. This is ridiculous They need investigated cuz they are screwing with the numbers!
Who gets this kind of money seriously people on here barely gets between 700 and 800.00 a month to live on if they're lucky a little more I'm not even close
Can you turn on a lie I do not get no 1,500 I get a little $900 I want to check make sure you get that information are you getting your information from vice president Harris
It's time for SSDI and reited these people should get more money because many of them have a health power the people on SSDI STOP WORKING BECAUSE OF THE HEALTH PROBLEMS BUT THE PEOPLE ON SSI MANY MANY OF THEM NEVER WORK THEY SHOULD BE WORKING
I'm on SSI AND I WORKED MY WHOLE LIFE UNTIL I BECAME DISABLED..I GET LESS THAN 900.00 A MONTH. AFTER PAYING ALL THESE YEARS YOU WOULD THINK THAT WE WOULD AT LEAST GET BACK WHAT WE PAID IN.😢😮
Thank you MATT AND COREY for the update GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR BEAUTIFUL FAMILY AND EVERYONE 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏 MATT AND COREY I REALLY APPRECIATE EVERYTHING YOU DO FOR ALL OF US EACH AND EVERY DAY.. YOU ARE MY ONE AND ONLY DAILY ADVOCATE 💙❤️💝🙏🙏🙏
I receive SSI $943 I’m raising my son and this amount still doesn’t get me anywhere, have rent Bills and little bit of food, I’m sure in January I’m probably getting 13-14 raise and still not making it 😢. And everything is so expensive!!
We will get 1497 SSDI, a $36 increase starting with Jan's check. So I will add another $10 more a month to the principal on my mortgage, pay even more towards the principal paying my house off quicker.

Everyone will not be getting that because everyone was given a set amount according to how long they worked and many will only get the COLA raise. I’m talking about retirees and SSDI. Please explain it so they will understand.
I'm 100% disabled, I get no where what you said, try 1.100.00 a month, not 1.500.00 that is a joke!!! But thank you Mark for all you and your wife do for me🙏💙🙏💙🙏💙🙏💙🙏TYVM
The increase won't help a bit because my prescriptions on Medicare increased and not covered so now have to pay an extra $145 a month for them to stay alive. Sucks for us seniors on everything, I guess they just want us to all croke , most of us seniors passed away during COVID so that relieved our government from having to pay as much out in retirement funds !
I've been on ssdi for 20 years I still don't get 1000. All colas are a joke when the Medicare always comes in higher than anything else then other reductions for rent and EBT.
My rent goes up too ,and Electric ,gas,Grocery's, every time I try to sign up on all these Senior cards I don't qualify, I get so mad ,I'm 84 years old worked all my life .😢
So this is only going to reflect as $ 38.00 increase in SSDI or will Medicaid be deducted from this as with Medicare? 2.5 up and what percentage of Medicare and Medicaid going up to determine actual benefits?
