@@lanemimnaugh7486 he’s on the beach in aptos ca. Down the road from Santa Cruz. My brother and I poured his ashes in the ocean there shoulder deep. He loved it there.👍🙏
Danny, you are a gentleman, giving to the son of the guy who built it, the original grill, very touching. I stopped by counts kustoms one hot August night, around midnight, my wife is a fan, and got out and shouted "Rollie, bring out that big beautiful car", made my wife's day/night :) ... Now to build me a 928S4 with all custom Corvette parts and new interior ...
This car by far is your best build to date. Absolutly a beatful car it just flows together! St 73 years of age I have seen many many cars in my lifetime, many car shows. In 62 I was 14 totally into cars, muscle cars were just beginning, 406 Fords 409 Chev's etc. I can remember seeing this car in some car magazines from back then Car Life, or Roax & Track maybe Motor Trend. Your side vents and the stainless around the windows were in my opinion the best ideas and changes to the design of this beautiful automobile. You truly designed abeautiful old school sports car into a modern day show piece!! Your vision of beauty is 100% and realistic. Only wish I could see the car in real life! God bless your vision for automobiles Count!
I love the in depth looks into how these builds come to life... Kinda like American hotrod/chopper was in the early 2000's. The fabrication and design process is what interest me.
I saw the video with the reveal to the previous owner. Absolutely stunning build, I love the side vents that remind me of the mercedes 300SL Gullwing and I love the Borla induction, kind of reminds me of those cars with the old style webbers. Beautiful.
I want to see this car done! She's lookin good! I like what you guys did with the fender flares and the side scoops. That really makes me think of the old, vintage race cars that ran back in the 60s. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna like it when I see it after SEMA.
I saw a really nice Kellison the other night, the owner instead of flaring the guards which he doesnt like, he actually widened the guards, fitting all electric windows, plus lowered the floor pan to give him more leg and head space, really interesting car, these where so far more better looking than the Cobra.
It looks like an Opel GT and a 240Z had a baby I like it...LS3 is perfect, it will be a ton of fun and have a cool unique look.. Maybe Danny will take out to LS Fest there in Vegas, April 2020 love to see it in person
I didn't know about this vehicle's existence till The Count got his hands on it. I completely agreed with all his ideas and now I just can't wait to see it.
Love this UA-cam channel by count's kustoms and Danny been a fan of these guys ever since they're show on history channeland I still even watch all the reruns and new episodes that they have on history channel and everything that they have on UA-cam as well
My uncle James O'Donnell was a CEO President of the Stutz Motor Company his office used to be in the Rockafeller Center and his manufacturing plant in Torino, Italy 🇮🇹 when I was a kid I used to go to International Auto Show in Columbus Circle at the NY Coliseum in Manhattan every year on February, of course, I went there with my family in 1970 for the first time since then I had gone there every year
i love this car and as a person the has restored many cars myself, i am just amazed the quality product you guys have achieved. Chip Foose could have not executed this build any better. then the selection of items like the wire wheels, the Motor, the hand made chrome trim really makes this car a one of a Count. Fantastic!!!
I think it would be cool to add period correct "SNAP Exhaust SWB 1959-1960 Ferrari div. models" on the back of those Borla mufflers , but even the reproduction SNAPS are very expensive by Saxon Parts in Netherlands. SNAPS function as exhaust extractors using the added velocity of road air to reduce back pressure at the exhaust tip. SNAP stands for Scarico Negativo Aria Pressione or ‘Exhaust Negative Air Pressure’ in English.
I have greatly enjoyed your step into youtube and seeing you and familiar ( and new) faces. If you do another Q & A, what are your favorite driving tunes I know you got some good music taste.
I have a 63 Chevy that my dad left me we didn’t get to work on it together sadly my dad passed away would love to start on it and finish it in memory of my dad but have no cash whenever I do get some cash I would love for you to build it for me 👍🏽
It's going to be a master piece, a Counts Original. The tail lights remind me of a "Motion" Vette, not sure if you'll change them, but do you want it to remind you of anything is the question? We shall see..👍
I agree with u Danny,That has to be one of the coolest looking cars youve done on the show. Oddly enough, I never heard of the car. But after your team got it done, I would love to have a fiberglass replica of that car. It very much puts me in the mind of an older Ferrari. Something like the 250gtb Btw, I love your show Danny.
Thanks for taking us behind the scenes. It’s fun to see how things are worked through. Not a fan of the hood scoop but that’s just my opinion. Cool car.
Love the old school Hillborn looking injection. I've always been a fan of the way it looks. Cool AF! Great job Count. I've been a car junkie for about 30 years now and have read the auction books since the early 90's and never heard of a Kellison. I guess that's how rare they really are. Your bro guessed a Cheetah at first and it does have a lot of styling cues of a Cheetah, but I would've said. It looks a lot like a Cheetah but that ain't a Cheetah. Good post man. God bless you brother.
What's the story of the white box van behind you, cars are cool but trucks and motorcycles are more my thing. With it sitting in your showroom I'm sure there has to be something special about it probably worthy of a video.
I'm the one who left a not so pleasant post to the last video on this car. I've been looking for one of these cars for a while (the right one). The couple sneak peeks you shown I'm kinda changing my mind. I'll let you know when you post the updated video my full thoughts about it.
Absolute beautiful job. Great car might make a nice model kit........ But will it hold up on the track or even better on the road where it really "Count"s".... Danny you do great work but please with this one put in down on the road and lets see some numbers, Danny Koker I challenge you, Dont just make it run and look good. make e'rrrr run. Let's see her run at Laguna Seca. 5 laps? Balls to the Wall..... Bet you wont........
Since you didn't show the stacks coming out of the hood, when I look at it, I envision a bold racing stripe down the middle... BTW Count.. You are a real tease! ;-) Can't wait for your top to bottom reveal...
I almost always like everything you guys do.....but that hood scoop looks like you took a garbage can and cut it in half ...get rid of the intake and put the original hood back on! Thanks for posting!
Your next project should be getting some old retired Military guys manual transmission 1986 C4 convertible and putting the CK stank on it from top to bottom. .... Tsgt Patrick “Barney” Barnwell USAF Retired. 😎👍🏻
It was the perfect candidate for a transparent cover/scoop, like some of the European classics. Would've looked cleaner. That scoop competes too much with that beautiful fender line.
To me it looked too chunky compared to the delicate and sharp body lines. It looked like something that would be on a car that was shaped more round; maybe just having it be not blunt on the front but sculpted would have helped.
That car looked bad ass as it was so I can just imagine what it's going to look like once it got the Count's Customs touch. Danny man what's going on with Mike's Batmobile he get that thing done yet or what?
That looks like a 72' Mustang back on the rack. What happened to that room full of cars that looked like future projects you bought but haven't got too yet?
Ive always liked different and in all my 62 yrs ive never heard of a Kellison, hope I spelled it right and I'd like to try and put a V8 in a Pontiac Grand am. Why, idk and it might be because all the Grand ams in my area had a 2.4 Quad4 that sucked. I have an 04 with a 2.2 ecotec engine with 186,756 miles. If I putt it'll last but I have a bad need for speed. Can a sideways oldsmobile 4.0 V8 fit a grand am
Thankfully he didn't have the stacks sticking out of the hood, It wouldn't have had the European look then. Looking forward to seeing you shred some rubber in it.✌
My dad would be proud. Great job guys. R.I.P. pops love ya
