I think my favorite thing about Shinedown is that EVERY album is different than the last. They are constantly fresh and new.
I know! A lot of people seem to hate them for it, but I don't care. Shinedown is a band I grew up with, and I love it to death with every new song from them that I find!

For the first time in my life, the beautiful song, "Killing me, softly" rings a bell, although this band is quite different, for me. They HAVE "sung my whole life"; however, they've EMPOWERED me & have done me a wonderful deed, by giving me hope for life, after I have been dead.
Same I have been listening to Shinedown sense The Day I was born in 2008 and I am great full that I felt to live in a time with this song and every song of there’s is amazing and so much fun to listen too

Every shinedown album that has come out has come out when I was/am going thru a difficult time in my life. their music has always made me feel better. this song makes me want to get rid of all the negativity in my life.

This just confirms why this band can do whatever they feel in their hearts and accomplish any type of musical influence and turn it into an absolute hit. One of their many top notch songs, show cases their musical talent, real artists these guys, they have so much that sounds so different from each other but it all works.
This might end up being my favorite album of yours so far. These two songs are showing tons of promise. I love how you guys are clearly experimenting a bit.

+Andrew Hershberger What's with everyone and the Disturbed sounding the same comment? A lot of bands do. Breaking Benjamin's new album sounds just like all their other albums too. If it ain't broke don't fix it. For Shinedown, sounding different with each album is just what they're all about. It works for them and that's okay. With Disturbed you know what you're getting, but that's okay too. I wouldn't wanna listen to a Disturbed album and it NOT sound like Disturbed. They always put a unique spin on each album though. Their "Sound of Silence" cover drove me to tears the first time I heard it. The Light and Never Wrong are two other very good songs.

The good thing about Shinedown is that they are only predictable in one way. That is you know its going to be a great cd. The fact that this is loads different to ' Cut The Cord ' just goes to show that ' Threat to Survival ' is not going to sound the same but be as varied as their other cd's. Personally i cannot wait. I dont know if im the only one, but i like the feeling this album gives me, i know its different, and that its just what i think the album was planned to be, its rebirth. you jut have to find that sensation, if all you want is repetitive things, look for COD.

Not a bad song, however with just the 2 songs released so far, I don't think this album will come anywhere close to topping their sound of madness album!

To me, no album will probably beat The Sound of Madness, it's my all time favorite album. Followed by Pink Floyd's The Wall and Three Days Grace's One-X.
