- Today we are looking at the BOOM Studios Psycho Green Ranger. In my opinion he is one of the coolest things to come out of the Power Ranger Comics (along with Lord Drakkon of course!)

If you ask me, Psycho Green is the best original concept the comics have introduced, even more so than Drakkon and Ranger Slayer. I really hope we get to see a lot more of him moving forward.
Seriously, people asking for darker grittier power rangers NEED to read the comics. Psycho Green's story is BRUTAL.

I personally would love a story arc of psycho green escaping the psycho rangers and then have a traditional power rangers villain. It'd be former villian rangers versus a former power ranger. Hell give them a team up with the space and galaxy rangers.
Had no idea that the Psycho's were redeemed. It would be cool to see them come back as a good ranger team in some sort of tv special or something along those lines. Maybe they have in the comics, but I haven't really followed those.
That would be cool! You can follow the current comics through the videos on the channel. We have covered all the issues so far for Power Rangers and Mighty Morphin :)

You know, if they're serious about saving Power Rangers, they should start adapting the comics. Even an animated adaptation of it would probably do wonders. Also, what is it with Boom Studios and Green Rangers betraying and killing their teammates?
100% agree. I think an animated adaption of the comics would be fantastic. And a really welcome change I think. Maybe Hasbro will try new stuff like this in the coming years

So the Psycho Rangers themselves are like shadow versions of actual Power Rangers. Like you said that Trek was a ranger and he went Dark Spectre and turned Trek into Psycho Green and giving him a monster form. This might also could've happen with the 5 Psycho Rangers. I wonder if the Psycho Rangers themselves were actual Power Rangers before the events of Mighty Morphin. This would actually connect the Sentai counterparts before Might Morphin / Zyuranger. So the Human Version of the Psycho Rangers could be any from the past Sentai counterparts before Zyuranger (Mighty Morphin). And wouldn't be interesting if the Psycho Rangers did kill past rangers before Mighty Morphin happened again falling in line with sentai counterparts.
Actually astronoma created the psycho rangers are actually cyborgs astronoma made using dark specters magic.
I like how you have some antagonist explanation. I’m a fan of Power Rangers, but I’ve been out of touch as I grew older and been watching super sentai every now and then. Can you go over bigger boss enemies and power scale them? Divatox, Astronoma, Dark Konda(?), Lord Zedd, Rita Repulsa, etc. Make them have their own spotlight as well as power scaling in some way because we mostly know the Power Rangers side, but not so much the villain side. Then you can have like Golddar, Viper, and other smaller villain spotlights and their motives to “rule the world”
Psycho rangers being redeemed? I'd never thought I'd see the day too bad for Andros though. Also drakkon was wise not to recruit psycho green he would have just been unnecessary competition
Would be cool if all the psycho rangers backstory was that they were once great warriors but we’re hungry ever more for power and dark spectre or Lord Zedd gave them the psycho powers that unbeknown to them controlled them against their own will to serve their master like the Nazgul from LOTR 👌

He was probably probably being the key word here was going to make a first ever appearance in the show along side the other members of the psycho rangers team but was left out but the people who were in charge of boom studios seeing his potential decided to put him in the comics books he would later get his own toy in the lightning collection toys line with his boxing saying that he was in power rangers in space witch was not true his first appearance was in the comic book

i would love to see the Dairangers outfits make an apperence, my headcanon for the show was when Zedd showed up, Zordon was originally thinking of improving the rangers suits to give them their Thunder powers but realized that the power and skill of his rangers was actually above his expectation, so he instead chose to dump the extra thunder power into the zords
@@devildavin good point, it would really mean that the Squadron Rangers held the power of thunder as their source of power for their zords, which were used to power up the damaged dino zords in Season 2 against Zedd.
I am sure there is a story arch somewhere where the Squadron rangers were from a earlier time on earth or in the universe, and that Zordon in the meantime had discovered the Dino coins, which he later went on to create the power rangers of Season 1 to battle Rita Repulsa after 10,000 years since her last appearance. He then had the Dino Zords hidden in secret hiding spots over the earth so they could be summoned when needed.
It would be interesting to think that the Thunder Zords are not completely gone, and that they were only partially used to power up the dinozords , and maybe with the power of the zeo crystal they could be completely powered back up again as stand alone Zords , (they only appeared when the dinozords were firstly called upon and the power of thunder merely upgraded the old Zords to the new thunder zords). So there is a chance they are only partially gone, but the Dino Zords completely destroyed... (but I firmly believe the Zeo Crystal is the reason behind why alot of the rangers coins, powers etc are not destroyed forever as we were lead to believe initially ,and why MMPR rangers especially show up for team reunions and battles in future series ,eg Adam, Jason, and Tommy who still could morph as MMPR rangers. This would also link into a reason why the Zeo powers were abandoned as the source of power in season 5 in preference for the Turbo energy, as the Zeo crystal was so powerful and dangerous, and therefore could mean that even the Dino Zords may not even be lost anymore and are in their hiding places , powered back up via the Zeo crystal.) Just a theory.
The Squadron Rangers could be used as the very first ranger team as a prequel series , maybe showing Zordon days as a squadron ranger where maybe he and his team discovered the dino coins from Ninjor , and therefore decided to change from the Squadron rangers and from the thunder power source in preference for the Dino power rangers ie : Season 1, but he always had the thunder power source hidden away in case of a crisis, along with the suits of the Squadron team.. therefore giving a back story into the design and creation of the white ranger and how they managed to have it when the green ranger was desimmated.
It would be dope if Hasbro adapt this team for their movie

I feel like the last bit nerfed Psycho Green a bit too much. This dude singlehandedly killed an entire team of rangers and nearly did it again if one of them didnt sacrifice themselves. So him getting overpowered by Astronema and Pink Psycho is really far fetched.
Psycho green is supposed have clairvoyance and is an empath so he should have been able to detect Astronema's betreyal earlier.
The bit should have ended with Pyscho Pink teaming up with Andros to defeat Psycho Green in order to give credit to his immense strength and intelligence.
They should make an issue where Carlos accidentally become the new Psycho Green by attempting to combine the Green Turbo and Black Space powers. Adam have to be the one to save him by reasoning with him

Hey The 6th Ranger, do u think they'll one day make a comic book series with the "real" Silver Pyscho Ranger (not to be confused with zhane disguising himself as a pyscho ranger)? I hope so, if they make it happen I hope they make Pyscho Silver the son of Dark Spectre himself and that he is most powerful and ruthless of all the Pyscho Rangers. And I hope that they show us in Pyscho Silver's origin that Dark Spectre has keep him secret from the other Pyscho Rangers even from Pyscho Green.
