The way I interpret the Essence node is that when you use a remnant on it all its essences become the same randomly choosing from the essences on it. For example: a mob has Shrieking Hatred, Shrieking Wrath and Screaming Loathing. You use a remnant, the game rolls a 1 in 3 and hits for example Hatred now the mob has Shrieking Hatred, Shrieking Hatred and Screaming Hatred. I assume they keep their original tiers.
Yup this was how I understood it as well. Using the remnants doesn't seem that powerful to me with this but the additional essences applied to the map boss could be a nice bump in total amount per map, admittedly with a pretty large jump in difficulty.
Agreed on betrayal and map chance looking really good to start with. I'm thinking from there I may want to try hitting some of the league mechanic options on the Atlas, but I'll have to play that on the fly. Could always pivot to expedition depending on what I get out of it. After that though, with the three atlas options, I feel there's going to be a lot of new variety in the ways we farm. Looking forward to the strats you put out.
I understand the essence node like that: From lets say 5 essences on an imprisoned monster, it choses one and duplicates it 4 more times just on that essence. So if it had 3 shrieking, 1 screaming and 1 wailing, there would be a 60% chance that it will have 5 shriekings, a 20% chance that it will have 5 screamings and a 20% chance that it will have 5 wailings. Just a gamble node if you have desired essences on that monster
It should just change all essences to the same type, having hatred wrath anger rolling 1/3 and changing all to anger for example, you either win big or get an useless one so its kinda meh.
Not sure guardian got nerfed a bit so the campaign won't be as smooth. I ended up not liking the playstyle. Check Poe builds Reddit I think someone posted some decent pobs there
Any thoughts on what a scarab farming atlas tree might look like in leaguestart? I know it's just speculation at this point but my 2 approaches so far is 1. try to get as many unique/rare mobs in your map for Significant Troves/Amplified Artefacts (similar to affliction juicing) or 2. alch n go with every single scarab node in the tree and clear maps as fast as possible.
Yup for any new players reading this stay far away from any breach nodes. It’s the worst thing to invest in by far, and you’ll make 5x more minimum with anything else
with the doubled chance for kirac missions, i really dont think its worth going for all the extra 2% connected map drop nodes. Should be easy without them just to spam maps for kirac missions to get map completions and progress fast, and the points are so much more valuable now with the new tree. could get 60% ritual chance, invest in the bottom right necropolis passives for more devoted mods, go for early expeditions, and a lot more instead
The idea is to ignore everything and just wrap the atlas up in as fewer hours as possible. With another 2 skills trees I can just invest in them later on and respec the 1st one much later on with regrets if needed. T14+ maps also sell for silly money on day 1 so each map drop could be 8c+
Thanks for the video ! Im still wondering why heist is the only league that doesn't receive a value buff in the atlas, maybe they just forgot Hope you get better soon
Can I ask why Syndicate over something like delirium essences for currency? I haven't really delved into syndicate and its probably the specialty mechanic I understand the least... along with heist lol
Deli is not that profitable early league as deli orbs are cheap. it is good for clusters. The main reason for syndicate is you will get a lot of scarabs from safehouses, I can get all my unveils sorted out nice and early and it gives very good XP
I don’t really like it you don’t really need the extra points and seeing how good some scarabs are I wouldn’t want to think I might be missing out on big drops
@@FuzzyDuckzy I can see that now. After doing the math and retyping my comment lol, it takes 12 points from commissioned order to unwavering vision so you're only netting 8 points and I'd argue map sustain is more important from maps 13-25 than 25 onwards since there's 36 white maps and by that point you're stacked with white kirak missions to reset his vendor anyways and even roll a couple unique maps
You don’t really need map sustain early as you can buy up kiracs inventory when you get to maps and it then resets after 5-10 maps so you can rebuy them. It then resets again on kirac mission completion
man i wish i understood syndicate better, it's the one league mechanic that makes 0 sense to me. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to get to a safehouse
I do not know much about it either but the rewards are good. In short there are 4 branches of syndicate: Research, Transportation, Intervention & Fortification. Each time you defeat the members there are options to interact with them. Some interactions offer progress points towards a safehouse. When this hits 100 next time you speak to Jun and open the betrayal board you can click on a button to raid the safehouse
@FuzzyDuckzy huh, okay that's actually a pretty simple way of putting it. I'll give it another go at league start this time. I'm playing brossf so even without safehouses the exp and unveils are op
Thanks for the video, having a cold on league start is horrible, hope u get better before the launch!
I think it is starting to ease so hopefully all better by Friday. Thanks for the kind words

The one currency I buy most is unmakings. I buy 1000s every league. Them adding multiple trees is a godsend 😅
Feel better 👍💪🏻

Yeah I think the meta is gonna be farming one mechanic at a time and juicing the hell out of it with scarabs
I strongly suspect it is: Map Boss gets one Essence total.
Otherwise it would have Said "one Essence Mod of EACH"

Yeah that is my worry if that is the case the node is pretty worthless and is just a gambling node
It should just change all essences to the same type, having hatred wrath anger rolling 1/3 and changing all to anger for example, you either win big or get an useless one so its kinda meh.
Yeah guess I am being too optimistic
Is there a guide for the bama of equilibrium build for the new league? Just saw your guardian rum but thats all i found

I think breach could be really good IF the scarabs are cheap. You can get a lot of juice in one map, but without scarabs I agree they are pretty bad

it got a buff in that no one is going to play it :) riches!
I'm not sure I think it was probably an oversight
Will you stream the league start?
Yeah be on about 30 mins before launch

Red maps no longer require corruption for bonus completion.

That was a ruthless only change
