You got it! Well done! I have the exact same bike and ride with the bags off which makes it easier to split lanes and easier to get on the bike (I kicked my right bag the first few times I got on and scratched it). I also only put 3 gallons of gas in when I'm riding in the canyons. Take it to Idylwilde and ride it like a sports bike. Slide your butt over and lean in hard and you will be shocked at how well it handles, then when you get on the freeway to go home you are super comfy. Safe travels!
My lady is very comfortable on the back of my 2022 RT. I just picked up a 2022 Road Glide ST. Added a cam, exhaust, full Ohlins, etc. The BMW tops the Harley in every performance category and is more fun to ride, especially in the mountains. My lady prefers riding on the Harley just because it sounds sexy. The Harley isn't as comfortable due to not having grab handles and having a narrower pillion seat, but my lady doesn't care lol. The BMW is an amazing machine. I just passed year #1 and this bike just continues to grow on me.
That’s good to hear. I just recently road it on two different canyons(videos coming) and it performed very well. Only grip I have is the clunkiness of the quick shifter in gears 1 and 2. Hopefully that will smooth out after the break in period. Thanks for watching and becoming a subscriber!
@@mr.stickyfingers3189 I will look forward to your other videos. As far as the quick shifter it will always be clunky from 1st to 2nd. It has more to do with the characteristics of the motor than anything else. BMW makes excellent shifters. On the XR it is butter, but I couldn’t stand that bike due to lack of low end and a busy vibey motor. With the RT I usually shift with the clutch initially and when just cruising.
Congrats on the new bike. I bought my Triple Black in March 2022. I have 23k miles on the bike and I can tell you that the shift from 1st to 2nd doesn't get any smoother. I always use my clutch for those gears and then quick-shift the rest. Regardless of the rough 1st to 2nd, it's an amazing bike! BTW, you mentioned a ride to Idyllwild in your video. My wife and I rode there for a weekend stay back in April, beautiful ride!
Yea, that’s what I am hearing from other RT owners about the quick shift but good to hear you are enjoying it. 23k miles in a little over a year, that’s good riding. Thanks for watching. I’ll be posting some more 1250RT soon.
So glad to see that BMW decided to change the handle bar and riser’s. I have the 2022 R1250RT. I bought it used with less than 10k km on it. Previous owner had theBMW risers installed and just cannot get it adjusted to comfort from or myself. Of course you need a special, expensive, tool to remove the risers.
What about the knobs and different buttons on the left and right side of the handlebars, do they now light up at night so you can see exactly what buttons you're pressing?
Congradulations on the new bike. i have a 2023 in Racing Blue. It will do 149mph. bought a Werks quiet ride windshield excellent shield very quiet. also went witth the Akrapovic exhaust slip on not much louder but deeper and looks a hell of a lot better than the stock chrome cannon
Congrats on yours as well. My next mod is an akra exhaust. I didn’t know werks made a windshield for that he 1250rt. I’ll have to check it out. Thanks for watching and becoming a subscriber.
I’ve been riding since 1969😮. I don’t have a bucket list or a dream bike. I’ve owned every style of bike from most manufacturers. I used to split lanes in SoCal on an 1800 GoldWing. Generally if the mirrors fit, the rest of the bike will as well. Now I live in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Far better roads but no lane splitting 😢 I saw your earlier review of the RT. Congratulations on getting a great bike! My R1200GS had ESA but it was pretty primitive. My Pan America was like the RT with its automatically adjusting suspension. I traded it for a cruiser, Heritage Softail 114” and I miss having great suspension. It is adequate, but not great. I recently stumbled on a hidden gem. A 2000 Honda ST1100. It was too good to pass up. My other bikes just sit, neglected. I like it so much but Honda doesn’t make anything like it anymore so I started looking at possible replacements should that time come. The RT rose to the top of the list! One of the great things about UA-cam is all the different perspectives that riders have on the same bike. Seems each one has their own pros and cons. I look forward to your opinion once you have figured out all the bells and whistles! 98 mph on the ride home from the dealership 😮
Man, you are living the dream with all those great bikes! I am going to put out a 600mile review soon, after I take it in for it’s 600 mile break in service. Thanks for watching and subscribing to the channel.
I'm in Australia and I ordered a 2023 r1250r triple black 2 months ago and I don't receive it until mid August. 3 weeks to go. I'm so pumped and I plan to do some videos as well. So excited 😊 Many congratulations. You sound as happy as i will be lol

On your test ride the RT had the FIXED bars and this one has the TUBULAR bars, which do you like better? Plus, nice engine side covers too on this one!

@@gillesklr650 yes, clones with the triple black edition and the engine guards and upgraded wheels.
The widest part of the bike are the mirrors, so if they fit in a gap, the hole bike does, congrats on the Rt .
That’s great advice, I didn’t know that. Thank you!

Congrats. Do the turn signals work? Get the extended warranty.
No need, the factory warranty is already 36 months long, and the liquid cooled boxer motors are exceptionally reliable.

What handlebar setup did you get with that 1250RT? That looks like a GS setup with full bar not two separate handles typically seen on RTs.
