- Karlsruhe is the second largest city in the German state of Baden-Württemberg (after Stuttgart). This walk in Karlsruhe is on a public holiday so it's fairly quiet in the centre.
We walk along the Karlsstraße and head to the Karlsruhe palace which is one of the few touristic sights in this industrial city. There in the palace garden people enjoy their holiday. We return through the fan shaped layout of the park and head back towards the inner city.
We pass the Rondellplatz, Friedrichsplatz among others. A few restaurants and cafés are open as we end this short walk near St. Stephen's Square.

Beautiful City...cleaning and green city
I know every place in this video, in the past few years i spent almost every day in this city. Thank you for taking me back to Karlsruhe. Now i leave this city and the country, and i think maybe i will not have much time and any chances to go back there. I remember when i lived there, i liked walking around just like you, having coffee and lying behind the king's palace. And i also had some old stories there. I miss the old days there.

Tolles Video. Karlsruhe ist eine tolle Stadt, zwar nicht gerade architektonisch, aber viel geboten und immer etwas los.
Im 2. Weltkrieg wurde leider einiges zerstört in Karlsruhe...

@@Rosebud2503 Ich lebe auch schon seit vielen Jahren in UK, in Essex. Ich vermisse den Ort meiner Jugend sehr oft. Aber ich glaube, wenn ich wieder in KA waer wuerde ich UK vermissen. Trotzdem schoen wieder von daheim zu hoeren.

Few tourists go to Karlsruhe indeed. That day I was interesting as I started in Freiburg and too the train to Karlsruhe, Stuttgart and Ulm. It's all well connected with a bus to Augsburg in the evening

@@CityWalks Yes, I walked everywhere - mostly around 30'. It was enough to get an impression and I also had not much time. It's rather surprising that Karlsruhe clip got relatively many views without much going on there 🤗

Wow I lived in Karlsruhe from 1956 till 1980. Very well done. not always from speeding cars and trams.
I see this page is mostly visited by USA people. Let me tell you that I had many American friends. One of my favored places was the NCO club in the Erzberger Strasse.
In the cold war I ended my services as Leopard 2 commander. We had often maneuvers together with
American units and again made many friends.

I lived there from January 87 to June 90 in the Army. A lot has changed.

Thank you for the upload, I havenever visited Germany. That said I have always wanted to visit my grandmother's hometown. She grew up in Karlsruhe back in the late 1920's. It obviously was a different landscape back then, but this still made me recall all the stories she told of when she was younger

As for cities both Warsaw in Poland and Karlsruhe in Germany have more beautiful cities in their countries. I'll probably be in Budapest in a month or so. Paris won't work out this summer I guess

I checked the video and from a screenshot the logo at the side looks like the lieferando (just east) logo. It's a house with fork and knife. It seems they offer service in Karlsruhe
