One of my seniors said that it's difficult to get Permanent Citizenship in UK even after 5 years. (That the administration makes up reasons to not give that to IMG )
That's not true. You can see the data on the government website of how many applicants receive citizenship each year, and it's upwards of 95%

After plab, It's hardest to get into surgical trainings for IMGs. Many people keep saying this in my country.
Except it has no basis! There are no restrictions related to being an IMG in any training field or specialty. If you do better overall versus a local graduate, you will be chosen on that basis.
Good day, doctors! I would just like to enquire what kind or types of jobs will I be able to have or apply if I would proceed with the CREST form instead of the FY2 standalone? And where I can apply for these jobs in the future. A response is very much appreciated. Thank you!

I'm a final year student, graduating next year in June , graduation exam is also in June. At what point should I apply for the PLAB exam. Is it possible for me to start (given that I pass all exams )UKFP in 2023?

Some students have mentioned providing a document that will state when you'll graduate will suffice??
Or only after the results of the final exams come out I can apply.
Meaning I would have to book for PLAB 1 in 2023??

@@anniemcfeyy2591 I’ve heard that you can do this too. I’m a 5th med student, and I’m planning to take the ielts or oet (most likely oet) 😅 at the start of final year. I’m also planning to get a letter from my dean stating that I have passed all my exams, and I am waiting to graduate on this date… a friend of mine used this letter to let the gmc know that they’ve completed their training, and to register for the plab. So it’s possible
You can only take PLAB once you've passed your final medical exams. You can keep IELTS/OET ready before graduating, but PLAB can't be done until you're done with medical school. Please also see: ua-cam.com/video/iRTJu1rB3Io/v-deo.html

I'm sitting for IELTS next week which is the very week for booking PLAB. I have a GMC account, will I be able to book PLAB in November after IELTS results are out or bookings are strictly this coming week? Please advise.
It's simple.
If slots are available when your results are out, then you'll be able to book PLAB 1. And make sure you have a credit card with international transactions enabled handy.

Yes, you can always come back to India.

Hi RoadtoUK! Im Dr.Gayathri from India and I am preparing for plab1 at present. I have stammering since my childhood esp when im anxious, I have trouble at the start of my speech occasionaly, and i had various speeches onstage during my school and college. Is this ‘Stammering’ a diability so that i would be denied to work in UK??

It wouldn't prevent you from working. Such a thing is discrimination. You can inform occupational health when you start and provisions can be made as needed.

Are the plab booking dates strictly to be taken in the coming week? Planning for November PLAB, so dates overseas are available one month before the exam…right?
Strictly no. But the thing is that there is so much traffic to book these seats that almost all of them get booked within a few hours of their opening. So if you delay... Well you probably will end up waiting a whole circuit unless you get lucky and someone cancels a seat you need and you happen to be lucky enough to get it.
Ofcourse it also depends on where you want to book your seats too.

Yes if you meet the applicant criteria.

is there any job an Indian MBBS only doctor can do in UK without registration??
You would not be able to work as a doctor. You cannot work as a PA either, they have their own degree and training.
