its not like the i7 is better than the i5
if its a 11th gen i7 and 13th gen i5 the i5 would be better
you can find the generation from the first 2 digits of the cpu name

if you use a used market you can easily find that setup for around 300$ (depends mostly on patients since you need to find a seller and build it (using a bus total was 20$))
