What's this really about? Seriously!? I find it hard to believe that government officials didn't know how RTE works. I think the much bigger problem here is that the government doesn't have it's finger on the pulse of any public sector expenditure. If RTE are to be scrutinized and humiliated like this then so should the HSE, Gardai and every single government department and public sector body. Let's be consistent across the board. I'm quite shocked that these TDS and government officials have no clue what is being spent and where. Let's start by scrutinizing these officials and then replacing them with individuals who know how to track the spending of their particular department. Seems like all this board has to offer is excuses for their inability to perform in their individual roles. Were they deserving of their promotions?
