@Day Trade to Win do you guys have a scalp trading course. I generally scalp between .04, .05, .07 and .10 cents when I scalp. Usually it's based on what the price action is doing. If there's a better strategy, I'd like to learn it. I don't have any desire to change from platforms though, at least not right now.

Hello John. I have been practicing scalping...I have had success in my simulated account, but now that I have switched to my live account, I am having a lot of trouble getting my limit orders filled, and often the price runs away before I can get into the trade. How do you ensure you get your order filled timely? Do you use Fill or Kill? Do you frequently use or recommend market order to scalp? Thank you!

Wenutz it depends on the market, and market conditions. On the Emini SP every contracts is $12.50 and you would multiple that by 2 or 3 ticks per one contract. if you trade more contracts you can see how it adds up!
because, every time, i wanna make a change the prices that offered, whether low or high, i cannot make it. usually i just use the market execution without put any SL or TP!.
Just take profit slightly above or double of your brokerage charge

I agree with Peter, scalping and Forex don't mix. Actually with Forex you are usually trading against your broker.

sorry for a very basic question .. but what is a tick ? :( and how much money is made or lost on a tick or is the question incorrect? sorry ..
A tick is the smallest increment the any market can move up or down. The value is different for every market. the E-mini SP moves .25 point increments. 1 tick is = to .25. 4 ticks = to 1 point. each tick on the e-mini SP is $12.50.

how do i get into scalp trading on crude oil etn or scalping in general...every broker i called even tradeking n all the cheap brokers r saying i need 25k to day trade vs 500 to swing trade n none of them even allow scalping thru their firm...what do i do

what is an atr and where can i find that?

The ATR stands for "Average True Range" You can find it typically in your list of indicators as ATR or Average True Range. Email me directly at support@daytradetowin.com if you have further questions. I know that NinjaTrader and TradeStation have the ATR Defaulted and should be found alphabetically in your list of pre-installed indicators.
